Another member of the Waunakee TE room is Jackson Kidd Jackson Kidd 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE Waunakee | 2027 State WI . Jackson did get to play TE in 2025 and would finish with 19/187/1 on the season. The 2027 is another athlete who checks the box of an outstanding frame for the TE position at 6’4″ 220 lbs. The big man further impresses with his athleticism at that size. Jackson was utilized a ton on quick passes to the flats near the line of scrimmage. That way he could use his size, athleticism, and strength to create the majority of his yards after the catch. I’m excited to see if he gets utilized more downfield this season. However he is used, Kidd is going to be one of the best athletes in Madison to watch.

having to play OL we were able to get a great look at Jackson as TE1. The junior is a very well balanced TE. One that can collapse DL down the line of scrimmage with his leverage and powerful lower body. Also one that excels in the short passing game. He runs angry, flashes a strong stiff arm, and is able to absorb contact really well without losing his balance. 2025 was just the start for Jackson. I think this summer we see him make a name for himself on the recruiting side of things before a big senior season.

Waunakee has an embarrassment of riches at the TE position. One of them is one of our newest additions in this update, Jackson Kidd Jackson Kidd 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE Waunakee | 2027 State WI . Jackson thrives as a three down TE. In the run game you see him close quickly, get hands inside, keep a wide base, and run his feet. That all comes together into him driving DL off the ball and far away from the designed gap. In the passing game he is used in the quick passing game. They get him the ball quick and then let the 6’4″ 220 lbs athlete either get the edge or lower his shoulder and create yards after contact. It is fun to watch him win with speed on one catch and then the next he is stiff arming 2-3 defenders into the earth. You need to dive into this kid.
