The QB position was well represented at the Prep Redzone WI Showcase. So much talent came out to learn, compete, and show off where they are at in their development. We had freshmen- juniors in attendance along with athletes from WI and IL. The MVP of the group was won by '28 QB [player_tooltip player_id='998519' first='JJ' last='Chapman'] of Oak Creek, and his day can be reviewed in our MVP article. In today's article we are going to dive into the notes of what we saw from the rest of the position. We start with a rapidly rising junior QB from Kewaskum, WI.

Eli was neck and neck for MVP of the position. He checks so many boxes of being a big time QB. Prototypical size, fluid and quick footwork, a fast release, and a natural arm that has the ball jumping out of his hand. Eli does a great job with his accuracy and demonstrated it on Sunday. His pinpoint accuracy placed the ball perfectly to every route. He delivered the ball exactly how the coaches asked for it. Eli puts in so much time on his craft and it translates to strides of improvement on tape and when watching him in person. The 2027 is gearing up for a huge offseason. He is one of the best at his position in WI for the Class of 2027 and will be a riser as we update the rankings.

Cody made the trip up from Illinois. Being from out of state I wasn't aware of the freshman. By the end of the day I sure was. The 2029 earned one of the reps in Best vs Best. Cody is going to be a QB to watch from the Land of Lincoln. He left little doubt about that on Sunday. The freshman already has an impressive arm. An arm that was able to drive the ball deep in 1 on 1s vs DBs. His mechanics are sharp, from his base to his motion and release. Cody has a very high ceiling. With three years of development and growth ahead of him we could be watching the start of an impressive career.

Collin sure looked the part of a next level QB with his 6'3" 200 lbs frame. He was one of the bigger athletes at the position and the junior flashed an arm that matched the big frame. The further downfield Collin threw to the better it looked. His big arm can drive the ball into spots downfield on a rope if needed. It was impressive watching him be able to get his body behind the ball and use it to create velocity on the ball. Collin's performance earned him a spot in the Best vs Best reps to end the day. West Bend West has a talented roster, and the starting QB is one of the reasons to stop in at the school this offseason.

Another 2027 QB who has made impressive strides as a passer is Waukesha South's [player_tooltip player_id='1226901' first='Jordan' last='Garcia']. He looks the part physically more than ever. Jordan is coming off a statistically impressive year too where he put up 2,000+ yards while completing 69.3% of his passes. Watching him throw in person has me very excited for his offseason. He is working his way into a serious prospect. His release is lightning quick. His release and overall mechanics were some of the best that I watched Sunday. Compared to a year ago Jordan's physical tools and accuracy have made huge strides. He has the talent to standout at camps this offseason. Look for him to climb the QB rankings this offseason.

Jonah is coming off a breakout sophomore season where he earned QB1 for the Wisconsin Lutheran varsity. The 2028 is a legitimate dual threat QB. This past season he led his team in rushing yards along with all passing categories. On Sunday he flashed some of that with his 9' broad jump. As a passer, Jonah has a bit of a sidearm release. Overall it is a quick motion and he can get it out quickly, he just has to be careful with that low release point. The sophomore proved he could put the ball on a string with velocity throughout the day. I'm looking forward to seeing the testing numbers from Sunday as well as what he does the rest of this offseason/next summer. His dual threat abilities will turn heads.

This kid is just starting to scratch the surface. He transferred to Racine Case as fall camp was kicking off and was still able to earn several varsity starts this past season. Seeing him on the list of attendees had me excited to see where he was at as a passer. Jayson is heading in the right direction. Athletic, developing a quick release, and his arm is getting stronger. During 1 on 1s he made multiple throws that beat DBs with touch and with accuracy. He did well to anticipate where the receiver would be and timing when to let it fly. Jayson is going to be in a much better position heading into the 2026 season, but before then the 2028 is locked in and ready to work on his game and further strengthen his grasp of his offense.

This is a QB that has impressed me with his dedication to learning and developing. Equally as impressive is how much that dedication has helped his game and translated to the field. Anishka is a fun QB to watch throw. Not the biggest kid, but he can whip the ball around the field. He can get the ball to all three levels with accuracy and really drive it on a rope 25-30 yards and in. I'm a big fan of the quick release and compact throwing motion too. Anishka also has so much varsity experience under his belt with another year still to play. The 2027 is going to keep working and growing his game this offseason and be ready for a big senior season.

Another camp/showcase, another strong showing from the sophomore out of Kenosha Bradford. While Norberto isn't the biggest athlete, at least not yet, the kid has a strong arm. Even as a freshman he could drive the ball into spots, but now that range has increased even further. The ball gets out of his hand quickly too. The 2028 is such a natural thrower of the football and has a special ability to create velocity on the ball. On top of it he has the athleticism that allowed him to also play DB in the past. Keep an eye on this kid.

Brayden had one of the best frames of the position. Standing at 6'4" 190 lbs, Brayden looks the part of a QB as well as a point guard. Both of which he plays for East Troy throughout the year. On top of the excellent size Brayden also offers dual threat abilities, finding success on the ground on a weekly basis this past season. Watching him throw live on Sunday I was impressed by how efficient and quick his throwing motion was for being a bigger kid. He had no trouble pushing the ball all over the indoor arena and showed some impressive accuracy during 1 on 1s to give his receivers great chances at the ball while also protecting it from the DB. The multi-sport, dual threat QB is an athlete to watch.

Ian spent 2025 playing OLB for Cambridge and backing up their senior QB. The 2028 is a next level athlete, flying around the field making tackles for the defense and earning All Conference honors for his play. For the Showcase he came out to show what he can do with his arm. The sophomore has a strong frame, especially for an underclassman. He has a bit of a unique, quick snap throwing motion but the 2028 is still able to get behind the ball and drive it into receivers on short to intermediate routes. I'm excited to see him take over the job at QB and utilize that arm and his legs.

We are always looking for that next wave of talent to have our eyes on. Freshman QB [player_tooltip player_id='2055009' first='Charlie' last='Shepard'] had a solid day and looks like he could be one to watch as he develops over the next three years. He is mobile and was accurate on Sunday. He has natural mechanics to work on and polish. That will aid in increasing his arm strength as will years in the high school weight room. Charlie is raw, but the tools were there to build on and develop.

Julian caught my eyes multiple times with his passes. He has a compact frame, but the junior has learned how to get the most out of it. Julian is able to fire the ball into spots, especially when attacking short to intermediate. The ball leaves his hand quickly and doesn't lose any speed to the receiver. His release is also very quick and efficient and you can see him get behind the ball to be able to drive it on those power throws. Even when going deep he finds ways to get behind it to be able to push it deep and win with touch. The junior QB is a name to check out.
