I had written about Eli coming into the event as one of the players I was most excited to watch live. The ’27 QB delivered on that hype with an MVP winning performance. The ’27 QB left no doubt that he is one of the state’s best QBs. Checking in with a strong frame at 6’1″ 199 lbs, Eli looked the part more than ever. Once we got to the routes on air and 1 on 1 reps it was time to tune into Eli’s performance.
Among a large group of QBs Eli’s arm stood out from the crowd. The way the ball jumps out of his hand was different from the rest of the field. His smooth mechanics made it look easy for him to create that velocity. The repetitive motion also allows him to be so accurate with his ball placement. Placement all over the field too from the sideline on out routes to up the sideline, or on quicker routes underneath. Eli demonstrated fantastic control and understanding of how to get the ball to his man so they could have the best shot to make a play on the ball without it being at risk of turnover. Coaches, Eli is undoubtedly a QB you need to get on campus this summer and watch throw live.

Another alumni of previous Showcases is QB Eli Ogi. I have very high hopes for Eli on Sunday. I will be looking for him to come out and show that he is the best QB in attendance. I know he has been putting in the work this offseason, as usual. That work has always led to him making strides in his game, so Sunday should be the first of many chances this summer to prove that he is one of the very best QBs in the Class of 2027. He has the frame, and Sunday he is going to show that he has the arm talent to play at a high level. I’m confident you will be seeing his name in tweets and articles following the event.

I have been so impressed by Eli and the career he has put together while being the QB for Kewaskum. The main reason is the dedication, time, and effort he puts into his craft. This kid is working nonstop and it is translating to the field where you see the strides in his game year over year. The 6’2″ 190 lbs athlete is going to continue his climb up our rankings because of it. Watching his clips from training it is amazing to see the arm strength and velocity he is able to put on the ball. It absolutely jumps out of his hand and holds that velocity all the way to the receiver no matter where he is on the field. The mechanics to get the ball out are razor sharp too. Quick feet, fast and concise release, and very efficient overall movements while delivering the ball. Plus he has always been an accurate passer. The current QB5 is in hot pursuit of a higher ranking. Coaches, don’t overlook the Kewaskum product.

Eli was neck and neck for MVP of the position. He checks so many boxes of being a big time QB. Prototypical size, fluid and quick footwork, a fast release, and a natural arm that has the ball jumping out of his hand. Eli does a great job with his accuracy and demonstrated it on Sunday. His pinpoint accuracy placed the ball perfectly to every route. He delivered the ball exactly how the coaches asked for it. Eli puts in so much time on his craft and it translates to strides of improvement on tape and when watching him in person. The 2027 is gearing up for a huge offseason. He is one of the best at his position in WI for the Class of 2027 and will be a riser as we update the rankings.

Stats: 17/24, 317 Pass Yards, 3 TDs
What a performance from the standout junior QB out of Kewaskum. Eli is one of the kids in this state that you can guarantee is always working on his game. He puts in a ton of time during the offseason, and we are seeing it pay off before our eyes. All three TDs passes from the junior highlighted his arm strength. The ball jumps out of his hand. Even on the first one when he has pressure closing quickly in his face. It looks so easy and natural for him to be able to not only uncork the deep ball but also drop it right in stride so his receivers can finish plays to the endzone without breaking stride. Great week from the 2027 QB.

It was great to see Eli in person once again. The underclassman definitely had one of the best days throwing the football. He stood out from the crowd with the other 27s and 28s. The footwork and overall mechanics are developing so quickly. His footwork in bag drills and in drills where they were throwing on the run looked natural, quick, and consistent rep to rep. His learning curve has been a rapidly increasing one. A year ago Eli was an athlete who played QB. Now he is looking like a legitimate passer to keep your eyes on. He drives the ball to every spot on the field when necessary and his command over where he plays the ball was some of the best I saw in Whitewater.

I have been able to cross paths with Eli a couple times this offseason now. So I know he has been putting in the time, effort, and commitment to take his game as a passer to the next level. After watching him closely on Sunday it is clear that the work is translating to success on the field. The sophomore’s arm talent is on a great upward trajectory of improvement. He has a compact throwing motion that efficiently gets the ball out. His control over his accuracy has gotten so much more consistent. Also his ability to step into a ball and fire it on a rope is going to be very useful this fall on Friday nights. It was a great day of throwing the ball for Eli on Sunday.

. The 6’1″ 185 lbs sophomore is coming off a season where he was the varsity QB for Kewaskum. The ’27 has been putting in work this offseason. He looks strong and like he has put on some good size this offseason. Size that is translating to his arm. What first caught my eye, and then held my attention rep after rep, was the way that Eli was able to drive the ball to the different levels of the field. Short to intermediate throws were easy for him to put on a rope, and when he went deep the ball never hung up in the air.
Eli’s natural athleticism stood out during the afternoon as well as he easily rolled out and could quickly reset his feet to a sturdy base and deliver without missing a beat. Among the underclassmen, Eli definitely stood out as having one of the top arms.

I’m really liking the development that Eli is showing through his weekly highlights this season. The ball placement week after week shows that his accuracy is one of his best traits, and it is accuracy to all three levels of the field. Eli’s arm talent is also continuing to improve. Short to intermediate he can fire it into a receiver while on the move or from the pocket and he has enough arm to push the ball downfield and drop it in over his man’s shoulder. What I also really like is the sophomore has an ability to make the special play like buying time scrambling around and finding an open man last second. The flashes of high level play are getting more consistent from the 2027 QB. I’m excited for his future development.

is going to be a name to watch over the years. He is 6′ 180 lbs and you already see that size helping him put zip on the ball and be able to push the ball downfield. The 2027 has a good base of accuracy and arm strength to build on. We see that he uses full body mechanics from his feet to his arm when throwing, and as that becomes more smooth and quick we will see both arm strength and accuracy continue to improve as well. Eli flashed an arm that could make exciting throws. I’m excited to watch him continue to develop and learn.
