Rader is a ranked hooper and quarterback.  The 5’10” quarterback brings quality athleticism and toughness.  Solid pocket presence getting the ball out of his hands quickly, but is also comfortable going through his reads finding the best option.  Zip on his passes over the middle on intermediate routes threading the needle. 

Cody made the trip up from Illinois. Being from out of state I wasn’t aware of the freshman. By the end of the day I sure was. The 2029 earned one of the reps in Best vs Best. Cody is going to be a QB to watch from the Land of Lincoln. He left little doubt about that on Sunday. The freshman already has an impressive arm. An arm that was able to drive the ball deep in 1 on 1s vs DBs. His mechanics are sharp, from his base to his motion and release. Cody has a very high ceiling. With three years of development and growth ahead of him we could be watching the start of an impressive career.

He is coming off a Championship appearance with some TD throws and delivered the ball around the perimeter like a stud. You can see his confidence by getting the ball out early and understanding his strengths during drills. He connected with different receivers in the Showcase and challenged himself with driving the ball after being put through a sequence of scenarios.
