Another camp/showcase, another strong showing from the sophomore out of Kenosha Bradford. While Norberto isn’t the biggest athlete, at least not yet, the kid has a strong arm. Even as a freshman he could drive the ball into spots, but now that range has increased even further. The ball gets out of his hand quickly too. The 2028 is such a natural thrower of the football and has a special ability to create velocity on the ball. On top of it he has the athleticism that allowed him to also play DB in the past. Keep an eye on this kid.

Another really strong showing from the underclassmen group was 2028 Nolberto Rosales. While he isn’t the biggest kid at 5’9″ 170 lbs, Rosales doesn’t lack the arm talent. I have become such a fan of him at camps this offseason because of how much velocity he is able to generate on his passes. The ball jumps out of his hand and can be on a rope 20-30 yards downfield. The ’28 does a great job of using his entire body to get that power on the ball. It isn’t just the power though, Nolberto also did well giving his targets catchable balls and giving his guy the best chance to win the rep. The incoming sophomore is building towards a potentially exciting 2025 season.

Nolberto came into camp at 5’8″ 170 lbs with just under 9″ hands and just over a 6′ wingspan. The freshman has caught my eyes at past camps and on tape with his athleticism. That was on display early and often again during the Showcase. The freshman is so fluid with his footwork, quickly getting depth in his drops and then right into his throwing motion. Even with that undersized frame the 2028 had rep after rep of him being able to place the ball consistently into the right spots for his WR to run to it for the reception. Rosales also showed great timing on a lot of those deeper throws where you are essentially throwing your man open. Strong showing from a freshman signal caller.

It was another great day for freshman QB Nolberto Rosales. The ’28 is an impressive athlete. So much so that he actually played some varsity safety in 2024. That athleticism shined on Sunday as he was one of the best throwing on the run or doing any of the reps where Coach Kamrath wanted the QBs to hitch up or move and reset their feet. Along with that, Nolberto has caught my attention early in the day every time I have seen him throw live. His 5’11” 170 lbs frame is able to generate surprising velocity on his passes. Short and intermediate throws were easy darts on a rope and his deep shots carried their velocity all the way to the receiver. Coaches need to keep an eye on this kid for his developing arm talent and overall athleticism.

Freshman Nolberto Rosales was another athlete who came in with the athleticism to allow him to be a two way player. So much so that the ’28 saw varsity action at safety while also being the JV MVP at QB for Racine Park. Nolberto looked right at home on the run, changing direction within his dropback, or quick setting and getting the ball out. The 5’11” 170 lbs athlete also has a strong frame and flexible hips, giving him an arm with power that instantly caught my eyes. It looks effortless for Rosales to get the ball to fire out of his hand on a string. Between Nolberto’s athleticism and arm strength I’m looking forward to years of watching him on Friday nights as he continues to grow, learn, and develop. Exciting things ahead for the ’28!
