This type of prospect is what Dick Vitale liked to call a “diaper dandy”, a young kid who looks very advanced. Landon first caught my attention with his very smooth movements getting to his spots in the individual drills. His ability to sink his hips at the drop of a dime to get in and out of a break is not something you see being done well by freshman receivers in general. Aside from his exceptional footwork, what impressed me the most about Bell was he seemed to have a fundamental understanding of the wide receiver position. Showcasing multiple different releases and techniques like a square cut, throw by, and using his eyes to set up defenders.
Landon is actually apart of the Class of 2029 now, and coming off his freshman season with Racine Case. After watching through the highlight reel from the 2025 season I am very intrigued by the building blocks of traits that he has to work with. At WR you see examples of a quick and elusive release vs press with speed to stretch the field. You see him make adjustments last second to reel in the pass. There are also several examples of him making difficult catches in traffic. I’m excited to watch him at the Prep Redzone WI Showcase coming up on the 17th!
Calling a spade a spade, Bell is one of the smallest 2028 prospect I’ve seen in the country, at just 5-foot and 100-pounds. With that being a pretty big caveat, he certainly has some potential for when he grows. Great wiggle and agility in his route running. At the PRZ Next Middle School camp in January 2024, he didn’t great, but I love what I see on film. Certainly a kid I’ll be tracking as he starts to mature.
