Offenses are hitting the ground running in Week 1 of the WI HS football season! We saw some unbelievable performances from individuals that completely took over games. Many of which came from athletes who are uncommitted. To help narrow down our focus of these unreal numbers and production we are going to focus our attention on the uncommitted athletes and what they did and have to offer the next level. There is so much to dive into from elite passing numbers to dominant rushing numbers, and high flying receiving stat lines. If the rest of this season is anything like what we saw in Week 1 then the offensive record books for our great state are in trouble! Let's dive into some tape from these unforgettable performances!

Stat Line: 19/25, 315 Yards, 7 TDs

Speaking of record books, Nolberto rewrote the Kenosha Bradford record books with his passing performance in Week 1. The changes to the coaching staff and roster over the offseason have clearly led to a changes on the field in production.

It starts with QB1 for the team. Nolberto is a passer who is dedicated to his craft, hitting the camp circuit hard and training with his team in the offseason. All that dedication had Bradford rolling from the jump in Week 1. The kid is confident in the pocket. He stood tall and was decisive when he found his target. The ball placement and overall accuracy jumped off the tape. He always gave his man a chance and put them in positions to be able to catch and run without missing a beat and did it while attacking every level of the field. This Kenosha Bradford offense is going to be must watch this season!

Stat Line: 26/38, 385 Yards, 5 TDs

Andrew had some pretty big shoes to fill, stepping in for his older brother who is now in South Dakota playing for the Yotes. Andrew looked right at home in the role of QB1 for West De Pere. He led the high-flying attack up and down the field Thursday night. The tape shows a Qb with the prototypical size and a live arm. An arm that was accurate to all three levels of the field and an arm that could fire the ball into spots even when he didn't have his feet set. His understanding of where to place the ball based off the leverage of the DB stood out on several of his best completions as well. The dude went absolutely berserk on offense and defense, scoring three times on offense and another time on defense. The walking highlight reel proved to be too much of a mismatch for the opposition Friday night. He won just about every way that a WR can. He got behind the defense with speed, turned quick passes into long gains. Richard's work after the catch was just as impressive as his work before the catch. DBs couldn't wrap him up because he is so agile and elusive, making it hard to square him up. Leckie is a mismatch in every sense of the word and looks the part of one of the state's best uncommitted seniors. Dejon spent Week 1 showing off what makes him one of the best WRs in the state. On his first TD Dejon settles into a soft spot, makes the short catch, and then flashes the explosive acceleration that leaves the closing DB in the dust. TD #2 was a deep shot where Knutson again left the DB in the distance as he tracked down the ball and scored. In just a few touches Dejon was able to show that he could attack every level of the field with some unfair athleticism and ball skills.

Stats: 12 Receptions, 193 Yards, 2 TDs

Garrett went off in Week 1 hauling in a dozen passes! The senior is one of the best available seniors in the state and proved why this past week. Right away the first takeaway is the senior is a YAC monster. Marathon would get him the ball quickly and let him work. Garrett has outstanding balance and power through contact, keeping his balance and punishing DBs. Having the ability to go from that to having DBs biting on head fakes the next play is a tough matchup for any DB. Garrett can win with speed, physicality after the catch, or route running. Coaches you need to dive into his tape.

https://twitter.com/Garrett_18b/status/2091620591455391815

Stat Line: 27 Carries, 274 Yards, 4 TDs

Hunter is coming off an All Conference LB season as a sophomore. He hasn't given up that duty, but has added a new role as RB for Sparta's offense. In his first major action at the spot the junior went off and averaged 10 yards/carry while doing so. The 6' 195 lbs athlete has the fit that fits his well rounded skill set. Hunter is able to run between the tackles, using a quick burst and strength to break arm tackles until he can work into the open field. He also has enough speed to be able to do damage when he finds green grass. The rising 2028 has a good feel for where the blocks are as he works through traffic. I'll be keeping a close eye on how the 2028 RB/LB continues to develop and impact his team.

Stat Line: 14/18, 269 Yards, 2 TDs, 4 Carries, 31 Yards

Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1733717' first='Matthew' last='Wickersham'] is a dual threat passer to keep an eye on this fall. Matthew looked comfortable throwing on the move, easily gettin this hips around to fire it downfield. On the ground Matthew has the speed to easily break contain and get up the sideline. The junior QB was exactly what his team needed. Someone who would protect the ball, make quick decisions, and then make the required throw. Jayson did a great job of hitting tight windows on the short to intermediate throws. He got the ball out quickly and took what the defense gave him. Then when he had his chances would push the ball downfield with success. He also made some smart scrambles to keep drives alive. Jayson is clearly making strides from where he was a year ago. The senior is blessed with a stout frame that has a wide base of contact balance. he is able to break arm tackles without losing much speed. His patience in the first five yards is great as he allows blocks to develop and keep him untouched for the first few yards of the play on several attempts. Now with the season rolling the 2028 WR left no doubt that the great testing numbers are no fluke. Aedyn won routes all over the field. He let the athleticism advantage shine in the quick passing game, turning short crossing routes into huge gains because of the speed and acceleration after the catch. The 2028 WR also showed that that speed worked vertically as well and that he could track the ball over his shoulder and reel it in in-stride for the long, highlight reel TD catches. Brownmiller is quickly becoming one of the more explosive weapons in the state.
