Aedyn has been one of our top 2028 playmakers since the spring when he began making a strong impression with his outstanding athletic gifts. So I was very excited to see it on a field on Friday night. The junior delivered. He was extremely explosive before and after the catch. We were able to watch him create things after the catch with how agile and elusive he can be, making DBs miss or bursting away from them. The 2028 turned multiple short catches into key chunk plays for the Pirates offense. Aedyn is going to continue to be one of the better skill players in the Class of 2028 for us.

Stats: 7 Receptions, 264 Yards, 2 TDs

Aedyn was a big riser during our last rankings update because of the explosive athleticism he displayed all spring and summer at camps. Now with the season rolling the 2028 WR left no doubt that the great testing numbers are no fluke. Aedyn won routes all over the field. He let the athleticism advantage shine in the quick passing game, turning short crossing routes into huge gains because of the speed and acceleration after the catch. The 2028 WR also showed that that speed worked vertically as well and that he could track the ball over his shoulder and reel it in in-stride for the long, highlight reel TD catches. Brownmiller is quickly becoming one of the more explosive weapons in the state. Coaches, this is a kid to watch who has a very high ceiling.

Rise: #157 to #71

Aedyn put together a strong offseason and earned himself a massive jump up our boards. The WR started the spring by being #4 in the Shuttle at the PRZ WI Spring Showcase with a time of 4.22 seconds and he was #1 in the 40 yard dash with a laser-verified 4.61 seconds. Looking back at his 2025 tape you see flashes of those numbers. You see it even more in his work through the summer. Aedyn is a very good route runner. Watch his clips from his Northwestern camp and how explosive he comes out of breaks and how fluidly he goes into them. The rising 2028 WR/DB has the athletic tools to be a mismatch out wide. I’m excited to see him this season at Port Washington.

Aedyn is coming off a Prep Redzone Spring Showcase where he was one of the entire camp’s best performers when it came to the combine. He had the fastest 40 with a lasered 4.61, and the 4th fastest shuttle at 4.22. The most important part of all those numbers is that when you turn on the tape you see it translate to the field. Aedyn can stretch the field with that vertical speed and easily track the football over his shoulder for huge gains. The ’28 is very gifted in finding ways to come down with the football whether it be in traffic or outside of his frame. The ’28 WR is also so comfortable changing direction and suddenly breaking off routes to create separation. Between the verified numbers and his tape I have a feeling we see Aedyn climbing up our rankings this summer.
