Port Washington has faced some huge battles in recent weeks and they have been up to the job every single time. A big reason why is an offense that can score with anybody. That offense is led by junior QB Jack BunyanJackBunyan

. The extremely productive passer did more of the same in Week 8 to secure the victory. Turn on the highlights and watch this kid sling it. He was surgical with his accuracy, dropping it between layers of defenders up the seam to start the highlights. The 2028 QB is very quick with everything he does from his feet to his decision-making to his release. The ball is out quick and is often perfectly placed for his guy to make a play on it. I love the poise he plays with too. He will go through all his reads while standing tall in the pocket staring down pressure until the last possible second. This kid is a gamer and has the talent and supporting cast to keep Port Washington in every game this season. I’m very excited to see how far they can take things in the playoffs.
I was really impressed by Jack in the Friday night battle. He may be undersized for the position, but that wasn’t a negative impact on his night. My first major takeaway is how much of a leader the junior is. He was constantly involved in the huddle, on the sideline, and everywhere in between. On the field the 2028 QB was a poised passer who did such a consistently strong job of making the right decision. That was emphasized with his next level touch and accuracy to all three levels of the field. The 2028 made a strong impression on me. Great chance we see him be one of our bigger risers in the next rankings update post-season.
Has stepped in and taken the reigns at QB1 on varsity. Excellent athlete with quick feet to set and throw. Also very agile within the pocket to buy time and speed when he needs to break the pocket. Undersized, but his mechanics have helped him to be able to fire the ball into spots on a rope.
