We had so many great efforts in Level 3. Performances that secured a trip to Level 4, and even a few from athletes on the losing side. Either way, the numbers were elite and needed to be discussed more in depth. With such few games we have consolidated offense and defense into this one article. So let's roll the tape and breakdown what these athletes have to offer their teams and the next level in terms of individual talent.

One of my favorite CBs in the state is the junior out of Catholic Memorial. In Level 3 the 2027 made his presence felt on both sides of the ball. At CB we once again got to see the excellent awareness in zone coverage and closing speed to make plays on the ball or tackle. You have to love the fearless way Smith flies in to make tackles. On offense the junior showed off the speed and the ball skills. Especially on his TD catch where he did a great job of getting on top of the DB and tracking the ball perfectly over his shoulder. Smith is such a gifted athlete and an impactful playmaker on the field. He has to be on your boards for the 2027 cycle.

Drew is going to be firmly in the battle for best WR in the state when he returns in 2026. He is a dynamic weapon that has a variety of ways to win out wide and he demonstrated them last Friday night. First off, the junior is able to create separation in two ways. With pure speed and quickness off the line and also with his route running. The track speed allows him to give his offense a deep threat. The balance and body control and burst allow him to run crisp routes that leave DBs trying to catch back up. Drew also shines at the catch. The kid does great with his timing to high point and also does really well adjusting to the ball and putting himself in position to be able to hang on through contact. Big things coming for Drew. Check out his highlights.

Bode and Mondovi got their revenge in Level 3 against Regis. Their earlier matchup this year was Mondovi's only loss, which came on a Regis Hail Mary. This time around Falkner and his offense left no doubt. The rising dual threat did damage on the ground and through the air. Bode was accurate, showed off a quick release especially when facing pressure, and attacked every level of the field with his arm. On the ground the 2028 is essentially a gifted RB. Strong through contact, decisive, excellent vision to find lanes and set up blocks or defenders. Having a guy who can threaten a defense equally with his arm and legs puts the defense in a terrible position. This is a kid to have on your radars already. Dive into his highlights.

Zeke is such an advantage for Darlington. He handles QB duties very effectively, but he is his most dangerous when utilizing his athleticism. Athleticism that is so dangerous and explosive that it actually has led to him being a kick returner. Not something you see many QBs do. All the impact as a runner hasn't stopped the 2027 from developing as a passer. He is accurate, utilizes touch and velocity at appropriate times, and pushed the ball into the three different levels of the field. The Darlington product is a game-changer.
One of the top two way impact players this entire season has been Lake Country Lutheran's [player_tooltip player_id='1220682' first='Connor' last='Lubbers'] who plays QB and DB for the team. The highlights revolve around his plays at QB, so that is where we will focus. Connor is a dangerous dual threat that has proven to be a nightmare to contain. He has the speed to easily get the edge. He is quick through traffic, juking into open alleys or making an LB miss in the hole. When Connor gets out in space we see him run through arm tackles as well. At 6'2" 200 lbs it is not difficult for him to create yards after contact and break tackles. He does a great job of running patient too.

I got pretty fired up when I clicked on the highlights from a 100 yard rushing performance and the first play is Kaden lead blocking and running over his man to spring the RB for a big play. Once the carries came across the highlight reel it was great to see him tote the rock with the same tenacity. Falling forward, lowering the shoulder on defenders, forcing defenders to earn every tackle. The patience and vision highlighted on a few of his carries really stood out too and helped him gain big chunks that did not look possible at the start of the play. Whitefish Bay is on a historic run, and having physical athletes like Kaden stepping up has been a key reason why.

In one of the best games of Level 3 Landen had an elite performance. His FB role in the offense perfectly fits his running style. The senior is going to get downhill, make one cut, and then it is all about getting up field. The senior has proven to be a decisive runner, wasting no time dancing around or trying to make guys miss. Instead he is looking to beat angles and break tackles. Landen also showed off his vision through traffic as he always found the right angle or block or alley to utilize. The senior was also insanely clutch late in the 4th quarter to secure the win for his team. Tap into the senior steal's tape.

It was clear that the front sevens of both teams in the Muskego-Badger battle were going to be heavily tested in their run defense. Senior LB [player_tooltip player_id='1220676' first='Brody' last='Axelson'] was up for the challenge, flying around and making 14 tackles. Badger utilize wide splits and field multiple athletic OL, but Brody was able to turn that on its head and play quickly downhill, forcing missed blocks from the OL. The senior did really flying around the field, chasing down the ball to the sideline and making sound tackles. Brody is such a stout, strong defender too. He shrugged off blocks or ran through them to make tackles. The senior was everywhere Friday night putting quick ends to plays and making Badger earn every yard.

Another Friday night came and went, so that means we have another elite performance from '27 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1620318' first='Kingston' last='Allen']. The matchup with Rice Lake was definitely the toughest game of the season for this team, but Allen and his OL were up for the challenge. Allen plays with that elite Power 4 blend of athleticism and power. He is always loaded up to run through a tackle attempt, but at the same time is playing at a speed that can always get the edge and beat angles. The junior is an impressive playmaker with the ball in his hands. I'm pumped that we get to continue to watch this historic season unfold for another week.

Lourdes Academy has been on a tear this season. The small school has a deep roster of next level talent. Among them is the 6'4" 205 lbs junior edge rusher. Harlan has made strides over this past year. He has become more comfortable in his long, lean frame and it is turning into more impact and big plays on the field. We see him take on blocks, shed and make the tackle for no gain. He flashes the speed to cross the OT's face and win inside. Plus the junior has the length to keep himself clean while running the loop to get into the backfield. It is also clear that he is playing faster this season compared to where he was a year ago. It is great to see the growth and development in his game. I'm excited to see that he and LA will continue their run in Level 4.

Stratford has been on a tear this postseason, beating multiple very good teams. They are clearly on a mission. One of the playmakers leading the way for this team is senior [player_tooltip player_id='1610195' first='Coltan' last='Breit']. Friday night the defense could not keep the speedy WR in front of them. His speed was a difficult matchup and his hands tell me that the versatile athlete could definitely play WR at the next level. The only time he did catch the ball in front of the defense was when it was designed in the quick passing game. That faced the DBs with a new challenge of having to contain him after the catch. It is impressive to see how much a kid can change a game with just 5 touches of the football. Coltan is an intriguing weapon.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing from the junior DB out of Winneconne. Koltyn's speed flashes all over the tape early on. He is able to get into the backfield too quickly for OL to get to him on the edge. The junior also shows the speed on kick coverage as he flies down to make tackles. I'm a fan of how aggressive he is at the line in coverage. Koltyn did a great job of jamming at the line and then getting eyes on the QB on the play where he made his INT. The 2027 is a defender you can trust in coverage and in run support. Check him out for yourselves.

Ryan's speed and contact balance highlighted every single play in his highlights from Level 3. The senior is so quick to get to his top gear once he hits the open field. Ryan also has so many examples from last week of his ability to play through contact thanks to his low center of gravity and power. Even at top speed Lutz was able to play through contact and maintain his feet on the way to huge plays. WDP has the best passing offense in the state, but Ryan has done a fantastic job week in and week out of keeping them balanced with his performances. Check out the senior RB.

We definitely got the junior LB's best effort Friday night. The '27 was extremely disruptive in the backfield. He showed a fantastic burst at the snap to accelerate through the line or around the edge. Eli does everything at 100 mph and violently. His power is key to that violence as he is able to quickly shed blockers and deliver big hits when he tackles. The 2027 LB has excellent range for the position, chasing down plays or blitzing effectively or rushing around the edge and still getting home in time. Don't sleep on the rising 2027 LB.
