One of the top two way impact players this entire season has been Lake Country Lutheran’s Connor Lubbers Connor Lubbers 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB/QB Lake Country Lutheran | 2026 State WI who plays QB and DB for the team. The highlights revolve around his plays at QB, so that is where we will focus. Connor is a dangerous dual threat that has proven to be a nightmare to contain. He has the speed to easily get the edge. He is quick through traffic, juking into open alleys or making an LB miss in the hole. When Connor gets out in space we see him run through arm tackles as well. At 6’2″ 200 lbs it is not difficult for him to create yards after contact and break tackles. He does a great job of running patient too.

Rankings Jump: 54 Spots

Connor plays some QB and safety for Lake Country Lutheran. A big part of his jump was what the junior did as a safety this season. The 6’2″ 175 lbs athlete has sideline to sideline range and can meet RBs at the line of scrimmage from 12 yards deep. Speed and range isn’t an issue for the ’26 DB. Neither is his football IQ. Connor seems to know where the ball is going throughout his highlights, usually getting a head start and arriving when the ball does to make a play on it. Lubbers does a great job at the catch point to break up passes without drawing flags on top of the athletic and mental tools. Teams definitely need to check out Lubbers at the safety position.
