No performance on Championship Friday was more impactful than [player_tooltip player_id='402227' first='Lamar' last='Best']'s. He finished 10 of 15 for 88 yards and a touchdown, and added 35 rushing yards on 10 carries with another score. But the numbers only tell part of the story.

Best completely changed the identity of St. Joe's offense. His ability to extend plays, buy time, and threaten defenses with his legs made St. Joe's look like a different team compared to earlier in the season. Don Bosco had prepared for [player_tooltip player_id='595189' first='Mason' last='Geis'] the first time around, but facing a fully healthy Best in the championship left them off balance all night.

Whenever St. Joe's needed a drive extended or a spark created, Best delivered. He pushed the ball downfield when called on, picked up key first downs with his legs, and punched in a crucial rushing touchdown in the third quarter.

His dual-threat impact was the difference, and it played a pivotal role in St. Joe's capturing the Non-Public A state championship.

Even in a loss, [player_tooltip player_id='402270' first='Marco' last='Green'] delivered one of Championship Friday's most impressive efforts.

Green hadn't played much this year, but he came in ready and immediately gave PC the spark it needed. His accuracy, calm presence, and willingness to push the ball downfield created four explosive plays that kept Paramus Catholic in striking distance until the final whistle.

[player_tooltip player_id='1027686' first='Jaylen' last='Robinson'] has been on a tear these last two weeks, and Championship Friday was no different. Against PCTI, he carried the ball 6 times for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns, capping off a postseason run in which he scored 6 total touchdowns in 2 games.

Robinson's burst and physicality gave Washington Township an explosive element on offense, but his value extends even further. He's also a standout linebacker, making him one of the most important two-way players in New Jersey this postseason.

Cedar Creek has been on an unbelievable run, and [player_tooltip player_id='973797' first='Gyan' last='King'] has been at the center of it. Known all season as a ball-hawking defensive back, he took his impact to another level on Championship Friday.

In the title game against NVOT, King delivered in multiple phases. He grabbed an interception to stall a key drive, and then flipped the entire momentum with a kickoff return touchdown — a play that completely changed the energy in the stadium.

[player_tooltip player_id='402188' first='Aamir' last='Dunbar'] closed out his Cedar Creek career the same way he played it — as one of the most dependable players in school history. On Championship Friday, he carried the ball 22 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns, setting the tone early with both scores coming in the first half.

While [player_tooltip player_id='402227' first='Lamar' last='Best'] had one of Championship Friday's biggest performances, [player_tooltip player_id='275127' first='Derek' last='Zammit'] matched that energy with a dominant effort of his own. He finished 8 of 9 for 58 yards, and added 13 carries for 74 yards while scoring all three of DePaul Catholic's touchdowns.

Coming in, the word was that Zammit was battling a bad ankle — an injury he later revealed had bothered him most of the year. But in his final high school game, he gutted it out and delivered three huge scores: a 1-yard punch-in, a 22-yard burst, and a spectacular 69-yard run that broke the game open and gave DePaul a three-touchdown lead they never surrendered.
