closed out his Cedar Creek career the same way he played it — as one of the most dependable players in school history. On Championship Friday, he carried the ball 22 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns, setting the tone early with both scores coming in the first half.
Dunbar ran with his trademark physicality, consistently powering through tackles and showing solid burst in the open field. He gave Cedar Creek stability from the opening whistle and helped control the game’s pace.
This performance capped a historic season in which Dunbar became Cedar Creek’s all-time leading rusher and helped deliver the school’s first state title. He finished his high school career as a champion and one of the most important players ever to wear a Cedar Creek jersey.

earns the Most Physically Gifted superlative, and for good reason. At 6’0” and 210 pounds, the Cedar Creek running back moves with an impressive blend of power and fluidity. He has all the physical traits Division I coaches look for—explosiveness, strength, and the ability to punish defenders while remaining elusive in open space.
Dunbar is the biggest back in this class; his skill set reflects that. He runs with force, absorbs contact well, and has the agility to make defenders miss. His versatility also shows on the defensive side, where he doubles as a linebacker.
The one area that remains untested is his pass protection. However, given his size and physicality, it’s hard to imagine that being an issue at the next level. As he continues to refine his game, Dunbar has all the makings of a top-tier Division I running back.

is another, and perhaps the best yet, talent from the stream of talented prospects that have branched off from the creek into college. Dunbar clearly has the speed to beat linebackers to the sideline in order to gain serious yardage. Running with a slight forward lean at times, Dunbar is able to lower his pads into a high-tackling defender’s chest. An interesting characteristic in how he totes the rock, we see him typically follow his blockers; however, if they are not fast enough or he sees something else he has the balance to cut upfield or cut against the grain for good yardage. Dunbar has already secured a scholarship offer from Temple.

. In only his sophomore season Aamir was able to run loose for 1371 yards and found the end zone 10 times. Primed for a big junior year, Aamir is ready to extend on his success from a year ago and carry is offense on his back if needed. There is a lot to like in how

carries the rock. He is a one cut kind of back, making one move early on in the play and accelerating into the open field. Aamir is a bigger, explosive back that can lower his shoulder and deliver a punishing blow to a defender but can also make a quick cut to separate himself from would-be tacklers. I think Aamir’s build combined with his open field speed will make him very challenging to stop in 2024. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if he surpassed 1500 yards on the ground and 15 touchdowns this fall.

Aamir Dunbar, a 5’11”, 195-pound running back from Cedar Creek in the class of ’26, is poised to make a significant impact this upcoming season. Physically built with a solid, balanced athletic frame, Dunbar stands out for his combination of size, speed, and acceleration. He exhibits impressive burst and acceleration when hitting the holes, allowing him to reach spots on the field quickly. While still developing his elusiveness, Dunbar has shown promising signs in this aspect of his game. Recently receiving offers from Kent State and Temple, his highlight tape reflects his potential as a top-tier running back prospect. Although there’s room for improvement in his vision, Dunbar’s ability to blend physicality with elusiveness to force missed tackles is attracting attention from college coaches. With standout performances like his 201-yard, two-touchdown game, Dunbar is set to establish himself as one of the best running backs in Jersey next season.

has solidified himself as one of the top backs in the state. A sneaky fast runner, Aamir is a sharp cutting back with quick reaction time that allows him to bounce the run away from clogged holes and into the open field. An extremely powerful runner as well, Aamir’s strong legs allows him to churn through defenders to grind out a few extra yards when his team needs it most. Don’t be surprised if you catch Aamir truck a few defenders as he heads down the sideline in 2024.

is a rising rusher in the state. Running for 1371 yards and 9 touchdowns, Aamir would break through the line with speed and find his way to openfield all season long. I really am impressed with Aamir’s vision and change of direction. He can evert a clogged running lane and find his way to a clear path to dart through. And by driving his foot hard into the ground, Aamir is lethal in making defenders whiff on the tackle.
