has been at the center of it. Known all season as a ball-hawking defensive back, he took his impact to another level on Championship Friday.
In the title game against NVOT, King delivered in multiple phases. He grabbed an interception to stall a key drive, and then flipped the entire momentum with a kickoff return touchdown — a play that completely changed the energy in the stadium.
His ability to affect defense and special teams made the difference, and his all-around performance helped Cedar Creek secure the school’s first state title.

from Cedar Creek athleticism immediately stands out at 6’1” and around 150 pounds. He moves fluidly across the field, showing smooth transitions and quick reactions. Last season, he grabbed attention with 12 pass breakups and 10 interceptions, making him one of the most productive corners in the area. This year, he followed up with even more impressive tape at outside corner.
Gyan plays with patience, a crucial trait for a cornerback. His recovery speed allows him to stay in position and avoid giving up big plays. He also has great length and ball skills, helping him make plays in contested situations. His football IQ shines through in his ability to read different coverages and anticipate throws.
Gyan recently received his third Division I offer from the University of New Hampshire. He also holds offers from Temple, Kent State, and Buffalo. While he needs to add weight to his frame, his skill set and athleticism make him a solid Power 4 cornerback if he continues to develop.

will look to continue the success he had on defense last season and will look to play a larger role on offense this season as well. Returning in 2024 as one of the top ball hawks in the entire state, Gyan was a nightmare to opponent’s pass games last season as he picked the ball off 7 times. Gyan is one of those DBs that sit overtop and really see the entire field in front of him. He has great anticipation for which direction the ball will be thrown, and can even bait the QB into making a mistake. Gyan has that turn and run speed that gives him the ability to sprint from one sideline to the other, making it tough for any QB to feel confident throwing the ball deep downfield. Offensively, I view Gyan as a secret weapon that can be utilized early on in a play on so he can tear through secondary’s with precise cuts and nifty juke moves.

is poised not only to potentially lead New Jersey in interceptions but also to see his recruitment stock rise significantly. Currently holding an offer from Temple, his prospects are expected to increase, especially if he tops the interception charts this season. His dynamic playmaking ability and athletic prowess make him a formidable candidate for leading the state in interceptions.

just might be their next big prospect to make waves. The 2026 graduate has had an offseason hot streak lately, collecting three major offers. Most recently, The University of Buffalo has extended an offer to King. This offer follows suit of Kent State and Temple. With a strong junior season in the fall, expect King to shoot up our rankings and hold more offers than he can probably count.

is one of the top corner targets in the 2026 NJ class. A true shutdown corner, Gyan stays glued to the hip of the receiver no matter what route they run. Picking off the ball 7 times in 2023, Gyan is a long reaching cornerback that can outbid the receiver for the ball. Being a receiver on the offensive side of the ball as well, Gyan knows how to reel the ball in from up high. In coverage, the Cedar Creek defender gets out of his back peddle quickly to change directions and break on the ball. Look for him to put up some impressive numbers again in his junior season.
