[player_tooltip player_id='1109329' first='Anthony' last='Keys'] - Junior Running Back - Millwood

Millwood looks to bounce back this week after a rare Soul Bowl loss to Douglass in week two. The Falcons make a short trip over to Heritage Hall to face the Chargers and junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1109329' first='Anthony' last='Keys'] looks to have a big game. Despite losing to their rival on Saturday afternoon, Keys had a terrific performance as an all purpose back that can beat you in a variety of ways. As a freshman, Keys split carries with two other backs. Last year, he became the marquee back but still shared carries and Millwood had a three-year starter at QB. This year, all eyes are on him in the Millwood backfield and he looks to be their heart and soul on the offensive side of the ball. He'll attempt to run through the Charger defense, helping the Falcons to their first win.

[player_tooltip player_id='858870' first='Blaine' last='Hipp'] - Senior Quarterback/Linebacker - Hominy

We've been vocal that Hominy senior quarterback and linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='858870' first='Blaine' last='Hipp'] is one of the more underrated prospects in the state's 2026 class and he's one of the best players in Class A-2. Hipp gives the Bucks a complete game changer on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he runs the Hominy offense and is a true dual-threat quarterback. Hipp has a rifle of an arm and he's just as likely to tuck the ball and run. And with a big frame, Hipp is a nightmare to bring down in the open field for most linebackers and defensive backs. Hipp is also a hard-hitting linebacker and has a nose for the football. Hipp and the Bucks will be looking to bounce back following their rivalry loss to Pawhuska when they square off with Pawnee on Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='415161' first='Braeden' last='Presley'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Bixby

Bixby senior and Oklahoma State commit [player_tooltip player_id='415161' first='Braeden' last='Presley'] has picked up right where he left off last season. The senior wide receiver and defensive back played arguably his best game in last year's state title game and he's been electric to start this season. Presley and the Spartans will host Choctaw in a 1 VS 1 and champ VS champ match-up Friday night. We've been on the record multiple times that this Bixby squad might be the best team under head coach Loren Montgomery. Presley's ability to impact all three phases of the game is one example why and it's something that shouldn't be overlooked. Presley and the rest of the Spartans will look to get another big win and keep that momentum going as they open district play against Jenks next week.

[player_tooltip player_id='1214367' first='David' last='Thomas'] - Sophomore Wide Receiver - Stillwater

Stillwater sophomore wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1214367' first='David' last='Thomas'] is the state's best 2028 prospect and that's a class that has more and more prospects emerging. Thomas had a great freshman season and he was on the radar as a legitimate D1 prospect before that freshman season even began. Thomas is one part of a legitimate two-headed monster for the Pioneers at wide receiver. In fact, when you look at the entire group of this Stillwater offense, they could be one of the best offenses in the state, regardless of class. Thomas and that high-powered Stillwater offense will go on the road and try to end Carl Albert's 41-game winning streak Friday night. Thomas is an absolutely electric football player and he'll look to continue his hot start to 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='693905' first='Delijah' last='Matthews'] - Junior Running Back - Carl Albert

We talked quite a bit about Carl Albert junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='693905' first='Delijah' last='Matthews'] this offseason and how the Titan running back had the potential to be the next marquee running back in the Carl Albert backfield. We're only two games into the 2025 football season but Matthews is certainly living up to all that offseason hype. He's had a terrific start to his junior season but there's no question that Matthews and the Titans will be challenged on Friday night when they host Stillwater. You could make a strong argument that Friday's game will be the toughest on Carl Albert's schedule this year and that includes the playoffs. But if Matthews continues to play like he has in the first two games, The Titans have a good chance to win their 42nd straight game

[player_tooltip player_id='1473214' first='Ja' last='Posey'] - Junior Quarterback - Pocola

Pocola junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1473214' first='Ja' last='Posey'] has picked up right where he left off in 2024. Last fall, Posey was a sophomore, enjoying a breakout season as one of the state's top passers. This season, he's elevated his game and has Pocola in a position where they can truly contend for the state championship this fall. Posey is a quarterback that can fill up a stat sheet while his offense is lighting up the scoreboard. But now, we get to really see what kind of improvement Posey has had in the last nine months. The Indians hit the road to face 2A-2 contender Vian and this is a series that the Wolverines have absolutely owned. Posey and the Indians look to change that this week and go on to contend for the district title and ultimately the state championship.

Jaston Terry - Senior Athlete - Woodland

Woodland has stumbled out of the gate with a 1-1 start but the Cougars are still the defending A-2 champs and a team to take very seriously moving forward. We knew that Woodland would look different this season considering the players they lost from last year's title team. One standout that returns is senior Jaston Terry and he was such an underrated weapon in the Woodland offense. When you go back and look at his overall production and the way the Cougars used him, he was dynamic as a runner and as a receiver. The Cougars might have dropped their season opener but they bounced back last week with a win. Now, they hit the road and take on a Pawhuska team that can light up the scoreboard. They'll need Terry to play at 100 percent.

[player_tooltip player_id='402379' first='Landon' last='Gatson'] - Senior Quarterback - Choctaw

Choctaw senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='402379' first='Landon' last='Gatson'] finally has the keys to this Choctaw offense and he's making the most of his opportunity this fall. The Yellowjackets are 1-1 on the season and travel to Bixby Friday night in what will be their third straight road game this season. Gatson is an absolute weapon at the quarterback position and is a name more people should know about as we move forward this fall. The Choctaw senior played quite a bit last season but it was in certain moments as the Yellowjackets had an established starter at QB. Now, Gatson is the guy and he is one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the state. He's already off to a great start this fall but Friday's game with Bixby will be his toughest test of the 2025 football season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598809' first='Noah' last='Goodwin'] - Senior Running Back - Rejoice Christian

Rejoice Christian goes on the road to face Christian Heritage Friday night in a rematch of last year's A-1 semifinal clash. The Eagles had last week off following a tough loss to Cascia Hall in week one. The Eagles have several playmakers to watch on offense but you have to include senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1598809' first='Noah' last='Goodwin'] in that conversation. Goodwin is incredibly productive and has been playing at a high level for the last two seasons. In their state championship win, Goodwin was clearly one of the best football players on the field as he found the end zone multiple times. Goodwin has also garnered the attention of several colleges, picking up offers in the last few months. Goodwin and the Rejoice offense will be fired up to get back on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='472321' first='Ritson' last='Meyer'] - Senior Running Back - Elgin

Elgin senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='472321' first='Ritson' last='Meyer'] has firmly established himself as one of the top running backs in the state and one of the top overall players in Oklahoma. In the last two games that we covered Meyer in person, he's scored just under ten touchdowns on the ground. Meyer and the Owls will square off with Newcastle on Friday night to wrap up non-district play. The defending champions are off to a 2-0 start and have some extra rest after a bye week in week two. They will face a Newcastle team that lit up the scoreboard last week, scoring in all three phases of the game. Meyer is an absolute workhorse back when he needs to be and he has the ability to keep Elgin in any game, no matter what the other team does on offense.
