He's added good size and is prepared for the rigors of ball at the next level, but ahead of him, he'll look to lead Corner Canyon to another state title and be part of the QB lineage at CCHS. He has great processing speed, gets to his third reads, has a quick, compact delivery, throws with good velocity, and has excellent touch and ball placement. Casuga has excellent pocket navigation and easily manipulates safeties. He will move the chains with his legs if need be and is an athletic mover. He'll look to finish out his career at CCHS and head to the SEC as he's a Texas A&M commit.

Briggs is a power back who was leaned on last year, and that gives more versatility this year for the entire offense. He showcased great instincts last year. He did well in coverage but was most comfortable as an attacking backer, where he can read and react while pressing forward. His growth this year will be something to watch, his development as an overall backer, and being good in space and covering his assignment in coverage. He is an exceptional on-ball backer with a great future, and he should top his season from last year. Would like to see him used as an EDGE rusher, as there could be something there.

Dart is an elite athlete and is a versatile player. Not only can he play either safety position, but he can also be a productive receiver. I'd argue, if he purely focused on being a receiver, he'd be a Power-Four recruit. Dart has put on good size this offseason, and his home is on the other side of the ball. He is best suited as the deep safety, where he can roam around and be the last line of defense. He has exceptional range and closing speed. Dart has good overall speed and is a heat-seeking missile. He's a physical player with good ball tracking skills and will close to make a play on the ball, and he isn't afraid to do the dirty work and help in run support. He is a complete defensive back and has the hip fluidity and lateral quickness to be a cover corner if needed, and has no issues taking on bigger, stronger tight ends. He is the best free safety in the class and will be a multi-year Power-Four starter as a deep safety.

Fiefia-Cooper is an exciting athlete who can be a two-way player, but his home is at running back. He has good vision and patience behind the line. Once he gets through the first level he has the speed to get to the edge and hit the runway for home. He moves well laterally and has good footwork, and he has long strides as a runner. He is a smooth and effortless runner and overall is a great mover. He should garner a bigger role this season and will play at the next level. He has all the skills you want to see in a complete back.

Evans did a masterful job last season filling in for an injured Casuga, and he showed that he can come in and lead an offense. He has good processing speed and is an accurate passer with good ball placement. He's done well this offseason during showcases, 7's, camps, and some private QB sessions, which I was in attendance for. He chose to stay at Corner Canyon for his final season, and he is someone who will find his way onto a roster next year, either at the FCS/JUCO route due to limited tape, but he's a player who not only enhances a positional room, but the team. I'd argue, CCHS wouldn't have won a state title without him last year.

Kozlowski will take on a bigger role this year and will look to add to a pass rush that will look to create chaos weekly. He has good instincts and is a player who is positioned for a breakout.

Pearce was effective in limited action last year and is one of the best pass rushers on the team. He has good size and versatility. He can line up inside to be a power rusher and aid in run support, and he can be an edge rusher, where he can pin his ears back and go. He moves well laterally, has good overall movement patterns, and is a defender with good active hands. He is primed to break out and be a key pass rusher and could very well flirt with double-digit sacks this season.

Rodriguez comes in from California and will infuse the defensive back unit with added juice. He has good size for the position and is a physical corner with good ball skills. He has good hip fluidity and does a good job at making a play on the ball that comes his way. He is best as a press cover corner but is adept at playing zone coverages. He should help Corner Canyon in that secondary group this season.

Evans is a versatile cornerback who can be at the boundary position or move inside to the slot. He's been taking reps at linebacker and at running back/fullback. He should make the rotation with the backers and come in on offense in potential key run plays. He will be someone who will find a way to contribute, and he is set up to be a key part of this team.

That was our look at Corner Canyon.
