The 2026 rankings have grown to 250 total prospects in the state of West Virginia, with many previously ranked athletes seeing a bump in their rankings. After a summer of getting out to camps and new college offers, here are the offensive players who made the biggest jumps in the rankings update.

2026 Wheeling Park RB [player_tooltip player_id='1137687' first='Brennan' last='Wack'] now holds our #1 running back spot and rounds out our updated Top 10 in the summer rankings update. Even after a 2,000-yard rushing season in 2024, it still feels that Wack is being underrated by colleges and under-the-radar heading into his senior season. D1 opportunities should be in his future with another strong season in 2025, which we expect from him after an incredible breakout year as a junior. In our eyes, Wack has the size, speed, and durability to play running back at the D1 level, with his new ranking reflecting as such.

2026 Fairmont Senior OL [player_tooltip player_id='1518161' first='DaeShaun' last='Floyd'] has impressed at many different camps this off-season and has been rewarded with numerous college offers and a nice jump in our rankings. He now places as a Top 5 offensive lineman in this class with a D1 ceiling in our eyes as he is progressing exponentially heading into his senior year. His final form as a player is still well ahead of him, but the improvement Floyd has shown in a short amount of time has been eye-opening for us and college programs.

We've underranked 2026 Parkersburg South WR [player_tooltip player_id='894768' first='Taj' last='Joyce'] for a while now, but have now corrected that in the summer rankings update. Joyce is primed for his best season yet as a senior and is the obvious #1 option for the Patriots in their passing game. The size and raw athleticism are there to warrant D1 looks this season, with natural ball skills to pair with his physical traits. He could grow into a TE at the next level with a high ceiling for that position, and is someone that FCS programs should be looking at closely this fall.

We got to see 2026 Woodrow Wilson ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1426802' first='Preston' last='Clary'] in person for the first time this summer at the Fairmont State Prospect Camp and were impressed with his size, athleticism, and versatility as a two-way player. Previously ranked as a WR, Clary is also a standout defensive back for the Flying Eagles and can produce at a high level on both sides of the ball. This warranted a position change to ATH in the rankings to recognize said versatility properly, and gives colleges some options for where he could fit into their program with the size and athleticism to give him a high ceiling at several different positions.

2026 Parkersburg TE [player_tooltip player_id='894732' first='Tytan' last='Parsons'] has been a tough eval due to a lack of film, with an injury setting him back last season. Having seen him in camp settings, he's always had the potential to be a sought-after prospect, which is occurring this summer as he gets out to college camps. Parsons impressed D1 Morehead State earlier this summer at their camp and picked up his first offer from the Eagles, where his older brother David currently plays. He projects as a TE at the next level in our eyes with his frame, and has a high ceiling there if he can stay healthy and continue to add the needed size for the position.

After seeing 2026 Morgantown OL [player_tooltip player_id='1238323' first='Blake' last='Buffington'] in person at the Fairmont State Prospect Camp earlier this year, we said that he's due for a rankings bump and delivered on that statement. Buffington cuts his ranking by over half and now places inside the Top 40 as the #7 OL in the class. He's picked up offers from Wheeling University and Fairmont State this summer, with more sure to come as he continues to blossom heading into his senior season. Buffington has a high ceiling as an interior offensive lineman with high-level athleticism to utilize as he continues to fill out his frame.

We also got to see 2026 Independence ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1136973' first='Sylas' last='Nelson'] at the Fairmont State Prospect Camp earlier this summer, and he performed well as a receiver. He's played all over the field for the Patriots, giving him many options for which position he ultimately plays at the next level. With his frame and level of athleticism, Nelson could fit in well at linebacker in our eyes in college, but could excel at a few different spots. He's the type of athlete that you sign and figure out later which spot to put him in, a great problem to have.

We've been high on 2026 Wheeling Central TE [player_tooltip player_id='1473308' first='Max' last='Olejasz'] before most people knew about him, after showing a ton of potential as a junior for the Knights. We got eyes on Olejasz at the Fairmont State Prospect Camp, where he impressed the Falcons enough to extend him his first offer. He's a basketball first athlete but has a very high ceiling for football if he dedicates himself to growing physically to play TE at the next level. Olejasz has size and athleticism that can't be taught, and is a big ball of clay that can be molded into a future high-level college football player.

University's [player_tooltip player_id='1137708' first='Glenn' last='Brown'] is another highly versatile athlete who likely settles in at receiver at the next level. Boda has a good frame and impressive athleticism to play safety at the next level, but showcased his offensive ability at running back at the Fairmont State Prospect Camp, where we were able to see him live. His transition from RB to WR as a junior showcased his potential more as a slot receiver at the next level and raised his ceiling greatly as a prospect. Suttle has impressive athletic ability, running in the 4.5s, that will allow him to develop further as a receiver with more experience, which warranted a large bump in the rankings.

Nitro's [player_tooltip player_id='1129130' first='Jayden' last='Hill'] has always had the ability to be a top offensive lineman in the 2026 class, but size was always a question of just how high his ceiling as a prospect could be. He's a great example of size not always being everything, especially for a lineman, as he's performed at a high level all throughout the summer at various camps. WV State extended Hill his first college offer earlier this summer, which proves colleges can overlook his lack of prototypical size. More D2 programs should join them in the race for his post-high school services this fall with a strong senior season.

2026 Princeton WR [player_tooltip player_id='1137701' first='Wyatt' last='Cline'] saw a nice bump in his ranking after a strong off-season at camps. He should produce well for his new team this season, among some other very talented big men.

2026 St. Albans QB [player_tooltip player_id='1234063' first='Reece' last='Lilly'] has always shown glimpses of potential on the field, but getting to see him throw live this summer proved a lot to us. He'll need to put it all together on the field as a senior this season, but the size and arm strength are there for Lilly to develop into a D2 prospect once he has more game film. He has the ideal physical traits that colleges are looking for and is a late bloomer prospect that programs should keep close tabs on this fall.

We got to see 2026 Clay County K [player_tooltip player_id='1133948' first='Jaxon' last='Brown'] on two different occasions this summer at college prospect camps, which has paid off for him with an offer from Concord earlier this summer. He's been the only specialist in attendance at both camps we've seen him, making it difficult to write about his performance, but it hasn't gone unnoticed by us or by colleges. Brown has transformed his body well over the years with a more athletic build heading into his senior year, which should pay dividends for his on-field performance.

Hampshire's [player_tooltip player_id='1511445' first='Andrew' last='Loy'] is one of our most covered prospects this summer, seemingly being at every camp that we attended. Doing so has opened our eyes to his ability more and led to an increase in his rank by 30 spots to just outside the Top 150. He's a fringe D2-level prospect in our eyes and is worthy of those programs taking a chance on him. The athleticism and ability as a receiver are there for those programs to give him an opportunity as he further matures physically.

The 2026 rankings have grown to 250 total prospects in the state of West Virginia, with many previously ranked athletes seeing a bump in their rankings. After a summer of getting out to camps and new college offers, here are the offensive players who made the biggest jumps in the rankings update.
