The 2026 rankings have grown to 250 total prospects in the state of West Virginia, with many previously ranked athletes seeing a bump in their rankings. After a summer of getting out to camps and new college offers, here are the offensive players who made the biggest jumps in the rankings update.

2026 Wheeling Park RB [player_tooltip player_id='1137687' first='Brennan' last='Wack'] now holds our #1 running back spot and rounds out our updated Top 10 in the summer rankings update. Even after a 2,000-yard rushing season in 2024, it still feels that Wack is being underrated by colleges and under-the-radar heading into his senior season. D1 opportunities should be in his future with another strong season in 2025, which we expect from him after an incredible breakout year as a junior. In our eyes, Wack has the size, speed, and durability to play running back at the D1 level, with his new ranking reflecting as such.

2026 Fairmont Senior OL [player_tooltip player_id='1518161' first='DaeShaun' last='Floyd'] has impressed at many different camps this off-season and has been rewarded with numerous college offers and a nice jump in our rankings. He now places as a Top 5 offensive lineman in this class with a D1 ceiling in our eyes as he is progressing exponentially heading into his senior year. His final form as a player is still well ahead of him, but the improvement Floyd has shown in a short amount of time has been eye-opening for us and college programs.

We've underranked 2026 Parkersburg South WR [player_tooltip player_id='894768' first='Taj' last='Joyce'] for a while now, but have now corrected that in the summer rankings update. Joyce is primed for his best season yet as a senior and is the obvious #1 option for the Patriots in their passing game. The size and raw athleticism are there to warrant D1 looks this season, with natural ball skills to pair with his physical traits. He could grow into a TE at the next level with a high ceiling for that position, and is someone that FCS programs should be looking at closely this fall.

We got to see 2026 Woodrow Wilson ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1426802' first='Preston' last='Clary'] in person for the first time this summer at the Fairmont State Prospect Camp and were impressed with his size, athleticism, and versatility as a two-way player. Previously ranked as a WR, Clary is also a standout defensive back for the Flying Eagles and can produce at a high level on both sides of the ball. This warranted a position change to ATH in the rankings to recognize said versatility properly, and gives colleges some options for where he could fit into their program with the size and athleticism to give him a high ceiling at several different positions.

2026 Parkersburg TE [player_tooltip player_id='894732' first='Tytan' last='Parsons'] has been a tough eval due to a lack of film, with an injury setting him back last season. Having seen him in camp settings, he's always had the potential to be a sought-after prospect, which is occurring this summer as he gets out to college camps. Parsons impressed D1 Morehead State earlier this summer at their camp and picked up his first offer from the Eagles, where his older brother David currently plays. He projects as a TE at the next level in our eyes with his frame, and has a high ceiling there if he can stay healthy and continue to add the needed size for the position.

Buffington cuts his ranking by over half and now places inside the Top 40 as the #7 OL in the class. He's picked up offers from Wheeling University and Fairmont State this summer, with more sure to come as he continues to blossom heading into his senior season. With his frame and level of athleticism, Nelson could fit in well at linebacker in our eyes in college, but could excel at a few different spots. He's a basketball first athlete but has a very high ceiling for football if he dedicates himself to growing physically to play TE at the next level. He's a great example of size not always being everything, especially for a lineman, as he's performed at a high level all throughout the summer at various camps.
