has brushed off a midseason injury and has returned to form late in the regular season for the Patriots just in time for a potential playoff run. He’s our obvious X-Factor as the defending Curt Warner Award winner as the state’s top running back from a year ago. Wack will keep Wheeling Park in every game they play when he’s healthy and has proved as much in last year’s playoffs. He’s a special talent for the Patriots and could break nearly every rushing record in school history with a good playoff run.

is off to a hot start to his senior season and is continuing the momentum he built during his monster junior year. He’s totaled 725 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 8.2 yards per carry through the first three games of the season. Defenses have yet to figure out how to truly limit him, which may not be possible at the high school level. Wack continues to be a D1 prospect in our eyes, and, surprisingly, he’s yet to post one.

continued his dominant play from his incredible breakout junior year in the Patriots’ week one win over Parkersburg South. Wack rushed for 230 yards and totaled 3 touchdowns on the night, with 35 receiving yards mixed in as well. We’ll continue to be adamant that Wack is a D1 prospect and needs serious looks from that level this fall if he continues this level of play for another season.

to carry the load again this season. They’ll try to be more balanced to ease his workload, but Wack proved that he’s capable of doing so last season. He’s deserving of D1 looks with another strong season.

now holds our #1 running back spot and rounds out our updated Top 10 in the summer rankings update. Even after a 2,000-yard rushing season in 2024, it still feels that Wack is being underrated by colleges and under-the-radar heading into his senior season. D1 opportunities should be in his future with another strong season in 2025, which we expect from him after an incredible breakout year as a junior. In our eyes, Wack has the size, speed, and durability to play running back at the D1 level, with his new ranking reflecting as such.”

welcome party in 2024 as Wheeling Park’s new starting running back was as electric as you can find. After being the Patriots’ 4th-leading receiver as a sophomore in 2023, Wack settled in perfectly at a new position as a junior with an unexpected opening due to a transfer out. He’s a natural for the position and showcased high-level athletic traits that could’ve placed him in several categories on this list, but he is likely the fastest athlete among fellow 2026 running backs. Wack averaged 8.4 yards per carry on an astonishing 268 carries for 2,200 yards and an eye-popping 31 touchdowns in year one of his new spot. He’s the type of athlete who is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball and often appears to be playing at a different speed on film than everyone else on the field.
