Prep Redzone prides itself on scouting more players than the average site. That's evidenced by the more than 500 players in our system for just the 206 class alone. Our bread and butter is with the players who aren't likely bound for Power Four schools. But, that doesn't mean we don't put the same thought and care into ranking the top of the class as we do the rest of the rankings. In fact, since these players are often ranked elsewhere, we get the most scrutiny regarding their position.

Here, I'm scouting the top 10 defenders in our 2026 rankings. Most of the articles these guys are in focus on recruiting. Here, it's pure scouting. Which offensive players do we like the best?

Brandon remains our top prospect in the state, something that was never in doubt after I saw him in the playoffs last season. He's calm and patient in the pocket and though he doesn't have huge numbers, he's extremely accurate and was clutch this season, performing his best in the biggest moments. Don't forget his rushing ability, as he can eat up ground in a hurry and is great at picking up tough yards in short-yardage situations.

Harrison isn't just a two-sport athlete, he's an elite two-sport athlete as a standout on the basketball court as well. His raw athleticism is impressive and he can usually win on pure talent alone. That should encourage Oregon as there's plenty of room for growth, especially as a run-blocker and route-runner. That being said, Harrison moves extraordinarily well and has an enormous wingspan, making him an ideal safety blanket and vertical threat.

The state's top offensive tackle, Ogboko is just learning the position and growing into his body. He has a powerful lower body that shows itself in his elite kick step and the balance and drive he's able to generate in the running game with relative ease. He's a high-upside recruit who is just scratching the surface of his full potential.

The No. 2 overall offensive lineman in the state, Delaney is a top-tier interior guy who will likely play guard at the next level. That being said, I'll be interested to see if he kicks out to tackle as a senior. He's a developing pass-blocker, but can really drive defenders in the running game. He's becoming nastier as he gets older and I'd like to see him seek out more work at times, but the tools are there for him to play early at the next level.

Sellars is a technician, able to win both at the start and the top of routes. His body control is among the best in the class and he shows balance and the ability to contort at the catch point. He's not been asked to run a full route tree, but excels in every way he's asked regarding route-running, and there's nothing to suggest he can't run the full complement of patterns at the next level.

Evans isn't the crispest route-runner, but he excels at finding ways to get open against both man and zone. Some of that is pure speed, and he was able to torch corners when given one-on-one coverage, something Hough's offensive scheme did well last season. He was excellent after the catch, showing great intuition about how to attack once he caught the ball.

Rule has an excellent combination of speed and explosiveness make him a home run threat and that has translated off the field too. A 4x800 state champion, Rule has excellent long speed and good short-area burst. He's also a bigger back and that power can show itself on film. Overall, he's an impressive next-level prospect.

Typically known as an in-phase pocket passer, Lott showed some accurate throws on the run this season, something I loved to see. He's a guy who isn't overly flashy but delivers on time and with accuracy, two traits that should give him an easier transition to the college level. Lott has Power Four size and arm strength and while his highlight tape isn't going to floor you, you'll see a lot of throws that help his team win, and a willingness to push the ball down the field.

A true X-receiver on the outside, Keefe has homerun potential in the form of contested catches. He's a guy who doesn't have to create a ton of separation to find success as a receiver. That being said, he creates more separation than his physical profile would suggest, especially given his average long speed. His excellent release package and ability after the catch are surprising given his size, and that's where he can win at the next level.

One of our top running backs in the state, Jones is a slippery runner. Defenders struggle to get in tackling position against him and he often ends up forcing bad angles from second-level defenders. He's a bit undersized at this point, but I'd expect him to add some more weight in a college strength program. Either way, the speed and explosiveness should translate.
