We're deep into offseason mode, with plenty of pieces about transfers, offseason camps, and even the future of the NFL Draft. Now we're starting to look at the top returning statistical leaders. Here at Prep Redzone, we're about more than reading leaderboards, so in this piece, we're scouting the top five returners in terms of receiving yardage. Where do they win, and what do they bring to the table?

One of the top two-way prospects in the state, we like Thompson-Wynn best on offense. He's a sudden mover who is electric with the ball in his hands, leading to plenty of big plays on offense, defense, and special teams. Not only did he put up nearly 1,500 yards from scrimmage, but he scored five non-offensive touchdowns, as well. This year, he's transferred to Roberson after winning a state title at Brevard, so we're interested to see what he can do as a senior.

Dollar is our top overall prospect in the state, and he'll choose from dozens of Power Four offers. He's a complete prospect. He can line up outside and beat press coverage, sit in-line and block, or beat teams after the catch. He's a man amongst boys, and he consistently wins both before and after the catch, and at the catch point. Expect to hear a lot about him on Saturdays going forward.

Defenses knew McClure was getting the ball and still couldn't stop him. He's one of the shiftiest guys in the state, and he wasn't just beating teams deep. He has the ball skills to win on 50-50 balls, despite not being the biggest guy. But the best part of his game is that he's electric immediately after the catch. That makes him a threat to take anything to the house, whether it's a screen, slant, hitch, or something else.

Petrarca broke out as a big-play receiver for Southern Lee in 2025, putting up over 23 yards per catch for a team that sometimes struggled with consistency on offense. He's a nuanced route-runner with the speed to get behind defenses and the ball skills to make plays, even without a perfect throw. After breaking out as a junior, I'm interested to see how he develops before his senior year.

Sales is actually newer to our rankings, but we love the way he plays. A versatile two-way player, Sales can fly, and if he catches the ball in stride, it's extremely difficult for defenders to catch him. Sales impacted the game in all three phases, excelling as a kick returner and defensive back in addition to the 1,100 receiving yards he put up for Cannon.
