Last week was the busiest evaluation week of the year. Dozens of evaluation opportunities, including school-specific combines, league-specific combines, college-hosted camps, and my favorite, the MHSAA Evaluation Camps. These camps are cheap, accessible, and always draw giant numbers when it comes to attendees and college coaches.

I was fortunate enough to attend eight out of the nine camps last week. From those eight camps, here's who I thought earned "first team" honors on offense and special teams.

First Team Offense & Special Teams

QB | [player_tooltip player_id='1529404' first='Sam' last='Stowe'] | Notre Dame Prep

I didn't scout many QBs last week, but [player_tooltip player_id='1529404' first='Sam' last='Stowe'] just kept on popping up. Multiple camps, and a ton of great throws.

QB | [player_tooltip player_id='1629739' first='Torrence' last='Searcy'] | Romulus

A potential sleeper in the Class of 2026. A ton of promise from the Romulus product. Should show up to more camps.

RB | Kenyon Dunklin | Jackson

A class of 2027 prospect with a ton of potential. Game tape will be huge when it comes to his college recruitment next offseason. Love his value in the pass game or an "elusive" running back.

RB | DeMarius Deleon | Atherton

Sleeeeper. A super small school Class of 2028 prospect who is a great athlete. Raw when it comes to hands and route running, but man, that athleticism pops.

WR | [player_tooltip player_id='1225709' first='Jamison' last='Pelt'] | Swan Valley

Nice camp from [player_tooltip player_id='1225709' first='Jamison' last='Pelt']. DeWitt was full of awesome skill position players, and Jamison may have been the best of the bunch. Flashed his catch radius and hands- two things that are very difficult to teach.

WR | [player_tooltip player_id='1244363' first='Ahman' last='Edmonds'] | East Kentwood

Mitey looked awesome in Jenison. The ideal high school receiver. I'd be surprised if he didn't get a ton of college attention in the coming months.

WR | Greg Pope | Detroit Henry Ford

Look out for this Class of 2027 wide receiver. Flashed a good vertical and great catch radius. Can climb the ladder and contort body to come down with difficult catches. Rare to see in high school receivers.

WR | [player_tooltip player_id='566878' first='Braylon' last='Burnside'] | Utica Eisenhower

As explosive and as good a route runner as I remember. Has been a great high school football player since his freshman season.

TE | [player_tooltip player_id='567870' first='Jacob' last='Schorfhaar'] | DeWitt

DeWitt had an absolutely insane Tight End group. Jacob looked the most polished.

OL | [player_tooltip player_id='1277061' first='Jack' last='Carlson'] | Brighton

I'm a broken record at this point, but I love Jack at OT. The switch from DE has been seamless. Expecting a very successful offseason.

OL | [player_tooltip player_id='566988' first='Zack' last='Radlick'] | Clarkston

A player who is working tirelessly to reach his high school ceiling. Colleges may overlook Zack becuase of height, but just know, this dude has improved so, so much over the past year.

OL | [player_tooltip player_id='1679715' first='Vincenzo' last='Pizzo'] | Lakeview

Ideal size, quick feet, and developing technique. A super high upside football player who earned a ton of attention last week. D1 offers aren't out of the picture, but he needs to show that he's coachable and can make adjustments.

OL | [player_tooltip player_id='1225665' first='Pavel' last='McCutcheon'] | Marquette

When the rubber hits the road, Pavel performs. Good job in 1on1s.

OL | [player_tooltip player_id='1550079' first='Hunter' last='Hankamp'] | Coopersville

Someone who I honestly didn't get a great look at, but a few others communicated to me that Hunter was very promising. Is Hunter the next great Coopersville offensive lineman?

ATH | [player_tooltip player_id='1672685' first='Chase' last='Keller'] | Tri County

I had to give [player_tooltip player_id='1672685' first='Chase' last='Keller'] a shoutout. Two camps in a row, two different positions, a TON of reps, all on the hottest day of the year so far. Not to mention Chase's great leadership. If Chase is this in-shape now, I could only imagine how big of a role he can take up during the season. I'm not sure what kind of college attention he'll get because of his height and position, but dang, Chase sure earned my respect.

Kicker | [player_tooltip player_id='1674159' first='Benjamin' last='Stanley'] | Grand Blanc

A promising kicker from Grand Blanc. I don't know about his technique, but dang was Benjamin accurate. Learn how to put a bit more power behind his kicks, and Benjamin could be a great college kicker.

Punter | Owen Flusher | Notre Dame Prep

A handful of great punts at the Jenison camp. Colleges looking for a punter- Owen might be your guy!
