American Fork and Orem 7v7

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past Saturday, May 3, 2025, Coach Behm and Coach Manu invited me. American Fork hosted Orem and Maple Mountain. It was a 7's with varsity and junior varsity squads, with American Fork having its Sophomore squad as well. We got a good look at some high-level players and some new potential playmakers for the upcoming season. He showcases quick processing, elite arm talent, pinpoint precision, and he knows when to take off his velocity when needed. He stressed defenses with deep shots all day, and the ball jumps out of his hands. It was an exceptional showing, and he'll be a nationwide recruit and a top-five quarterback nationally if he continues his trajectory. Ka'awa was quick to get through his reads and his throws were crisp and had good accuracy and velocity. He had good ball placement and was decisive with where he wanted to throw. Childs had a good command of the offense and pushed it downfield. In 7s, you get to see more of his throws, and he continues to get more and more accurate. He has command of the offense, and his legs will add intrigue under the Friday Night lights. He continues to be a mismatch and a weapon as he can be detached from the line and is too athletic for most linebackers and too big for most safeties. During the 7's he ha a route where he got separation from his defender and was wide open down the field. He showcased good ball tracking skills and made good adjustments on the ball. He has a large catch radius and made an impressive showing. He lined up in the slot and out wide during the 7's and was a mismatch due to his skillset. He's going to develop into a chess piece and I prefer him as a move tight end. A few reasons for that, his frame is already quite big and he's continuing to grow and get bigger, he can be a mismatch against linebackers as he's too quick and athletic for them, and too tall and strong for safeties.
