I was incredibly impressed with a good number of quarterbacks this season. In this installment, I'm highlighting some of the top QBs. The #1 player in his class. Crowned the next Great One in the state from the moment he got to high school and lived up to those expectations. His on field talent is very well known by now, but what he was able to do in blocking out the noise and continuing to live up to all of the hype thrust upon him is one of the most impressive displays of mental toughness I have ever seen from a player and probably doesn't get talked about enough. Good luck at the next level Bryce, we'll be wishing for your continued success!

Landon is one of the grittiest players I got to see all season long. His ability to extend plays, get out and make plays with his feet and arm are traits you rarely see. He was one of the best rushing QBs in the entire state and put his team on his back multiple times throughout the season. Even in the state finals, Landon was able to will his team back into the game time after time when things weren't looking up. On top of his running talent, his arm got better and better throughout the years which is a testament to his training and commitment to his craft. He was one of the top performers not just of the QBs I got to see, but just players all around. I'll be looking forward to what is next for Landon!

Seeing him in week 1, Tabron was hurt so I wasn't really able to get a read on what he brings to the table besides a strong arm and great size. After seeing him in the state title game, I now know that this is going to be a special player. He throws accurately with great velocity, puts a tight spiral on every throw and has the instincts in the pocket you'd expect maybe from a college freshman, not high school! He has the potential to have a great high school career and play some elite football at the next level and it's just starting for the star QB from Cass Tech!

Jaxson played his tail off when I got to see him in the playoffs. Despite a loss, Dosh was sharp, making off schedule plays and showing off his athleticism and deep ball skills. The Western Michigan commit has continued to evolve and regardless of the result, Jaxson showed why he's one of the elite QBs in the 2026 class! This winter I plan on getting out to see him work, and I am pumped to see how he continues to grow his game!

Man was this kid a treat to watch back in week 2 against Mason. He was throwing with great anticipation, throwing his receivers open and orchestrating the offense masterfully. This continued the entire season, leading probably the most prolific offense in the state in 2024. He has been large steps better every time I watched him, and this game in week 2 was no exception. Larner is off to Michigan Tech next season and I am super pumped to follow along with him and see what else he can do at the next level!

Alex is a late addition to this list as I wasn't able to catch him until the state finals, but he really shined! First off, I loved his athleticism. He was getting out of the pocket, extending plays and getting the most yardage possible on his designed runs. On top of his legs, his arm was great! He was hitting some deep strikes with great accuracy and was letting his receivers go get it! Alex impressed me a ton and I was super happy I got to finally see him in person.

Despite the loss in week 2, Cason played great that night and the rest of the season! Cason was putting balls in windows, manipulating the pocket and keeping his options open. His vision and ability to find targets under stress was one of the most impressive displays all season at the QB position. He's a leader, he's a great talent and has all of the intangibles you'd want from your gunslinger! Western Illinois is getting a special player next season.

Both of the instances I got to see Sam, he was lights out. He stands in the pocket with great poise and confidence, delivers the ball accurately and with the perfect amount of zip and touch that is hard to get consistently. He was absolutely one of the most impressive QBs I got to see this season and I am definitely looking forward to what he has in store next season!

Despite the loss, Tommy performed just as well as I had hoped when I saw him against Belleville. He's tough as nails, can stand in the pocket and make play after play with the defense clamping down on him. He was able to extend plays with his legs while keeping his eyes downfield and making something happen when the play broke down. Tommy heads into the offseason as a P4 prospect and I am really curious to see what he can do next season!

I was incredibly impressed with a good number of quarterbacks this season. In this installment, I'm highlighting some of the top QBs. Below were some of the best gunslingers I got to see in 2024!
