Alex is a late addition to this list as I wasn’t able to catch him until the state finals, but he really shined! First off, I loved his athleticism. He was getting out of the pocket, extending plays and getting the most yardage possible on his designed runs. On top of his legs, his arm was great! He was hitting some deep strikes with great accuracy and was letting his receivers go get it! Alex impressed me a ton and I was super happy I got to finally see him in person.

I really liked how Alex played on Friday. He is a hard runner with a ton of upside that I was very impressed with!
- Sees the field well and keeps calm in the pocket
- Has a very good arm, can hit deep balls with solid accuracy
- Good vision, able to be effective on QB runs and scrambles, was able to find gaps against a swarming defense, constantly staying aware at all times
- Tough nosed kid who can run through arm tackles, but also has the speed to get to the open field

This is the first I’ve seen from the Lansing Catholic signal caller this season. All in all, a good performance against Charlotte. Let’s break it down.
Alex’s first highlight is one of the best of his career. He steps up in the pocket, evades more pressure, then finds a man over the middle of the field, and it ends up being a TD pass. Props to him for staying calm in the pocket- that patience paid off! The highlight at 1:20 shows something similar- Alex is patient and eventually finds his receiver on the crossing route. All in all, Alex is a solid playmaker. He’s able to evade pressure, has overall great pocket presence, and has a knack for finding guys off-schedule. I’d stll like to see better arm strength and fundamentals, but Alex is still a great QB in Division 6.
