Xavier took the state by storm in the D6 state title game. Despite the loss, he was consistently beating defenders and hurting the defense deep. I took note of his physical play and ability to run a great variety of routes. He’s also a very good blocker and was instrumental in their outside run game. Someone is going to get a really good player that is kind of going underrated right now. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on Xavier!

Xavier was phenomenal for Lansing Catholic. Multiple times he completely took over drives. He has a ton of upside that will translate to the next level!
- Great change of direction, able to create a ton of separation
- Able to get physical with DBs and get great position on jump balls
- Relentless blocker on the outside, showed great commitment to his role no matter what

My sample size with Xavier is small, but I loved what I saw from his one showing at the Western Michigan camp. What I saw at Western was a big-bodied receiver who was a phenomenal contested ball catcher, an above-average athlete, and a skilled route-runner. My gut told me he was a solid D2 talent- and that’s with knowing how competitive the D2 receiver market is. Xavier’s film has some bright spots, but I overall liked what I saw in person a whole lot more. If he can live up to his in-person performance, he’ll be a major stock riser next time around.

Every year it seems that Lansing Catholic has a few intriguing prospects. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of watching Xavier Luea Xavier Luea 6'2" | 187 lbs | WR Lansing Catholic | 2025 State MI at the Western Michigan camp. He was one of the most impressive receivers at camp, tested pretty well, and I can’t believe he wasn’t on my radar until now. What stood out to me most at camp were his route running and hands. Xavier isn’t the most athletic receiver in the world, but his fast feet and good understanding of leverage allowed him to consistently earn separation against the best DBs. Furthermore, he had some of the best hands at camp, consistently coming down with contested catches. It’s only a matter of time before colleges catch on to his abilities, and a breakout senior season should bolster his stock quite a bit.
