All 32 Regional Finals games have concluded! Now, we have 16 excellent semifinal games to look forward to. Here's a short preview of each of our 16 Semifinal matchups.

Division 1

Rochester Adams vs. Hudsonville

Adams defeated Grand Blanc, 21-14

Hudsonville defeated Howell, 35-6

Adams is on an improbable run. When I first saw Region 2, I thought Adams was one of the least-probable teams to win it. Now, they've won against Stoney Creek (rival), Clarkston (OAA Red Rival), and Grand Blanc, a team that looked excellent this postseason. Next week, Adams face off against a Hudsonville team that's done exceptionally well against teams similar to them.

When Hudsonville is playing sharp, they're nearly unbeatable. They played a really, really good game against Howell. A perfect defensive game plan combined with an efficient offense and a ton of 3rd down conversions. Considering Adams' run-heavy offense, I give Hudsonville a great chance to win against Adams. In terms of talent, I'm highly impressed with how [player_tooltip player_id='1291326' first='Connor' last='Brintnall'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1290565' first='Griffin' last='Baker'] have been playing.

Cass Tech vs. Detroit Catholic Central

Both of these teams won very competitive games in the regional.

Catholic Central vs. Belleville was the most-covered game of the week. In a packed house, DCC straight-up out schemed Belleville. I stay confident in Catholic Central being one of the best-coached teams I've ever seen.

Cass Tech is very, very hot. This team looks nothing like the team that lost Week 1 against Rockford. Cass is playing phenomenal defense with an explosive offense.

State Championship Pick: Detroit Catholic Central > Hudsonville

Division 2

East Lansing vs. Byron Center

East Lansing defeated Heritage, 49-27

Byron Center defeated Portage Central, 52-14

East Lansing and Byron Center both earned decisive wins. In reality, it seems that the District Finals decided the semifinals. If Dexter beat East Lansing, Dexter would be in the semis. If Mona Shores beat Byron Center, they'd be in the semis.

That said, both teams come into this one with a ton of confidence. I expect Byron Center to win, but you never know with two hot teams.

St. Mary's vs. Groves

St. Mary's defeated Carlson, 27-3

Groves defeated De La Salle, 21-19

Speaking of hot teams... St. Mary's completes what was likely the easiest road to the semifinals. Carlson is a good team, but they just couldn't stay competitive with the talent of St. Mary's.

Groves is the hottest team in Michigan. They just embarrassed their rivals (Seaholm) twice, then beat De La Salle yesterday night. From what I heard, Groves matched DLS' physicality and their playmakers rose to the occasion. I've been very impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='899621' first='Chris' last='Little'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1298776' first='Noah' last='Sanders'] this postseason.

State Championship Pick: Byron Center > Groves

Division 3

DeWitt vs. Zeeland West

DeWitt defeated Petoskey, 70-34

Zeeland West defeated FHC, 36-20

Man... DeWitt looks unstoppable right now. Dropped a 70 burger on a legitimately good defense. [player_tooltip player_id='587931' first='Abram' last='Larner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='587912' first='Elliott' last='Larner'] are solidifying their legacy.

Zeeland West- you have a chance. The Dux truly have to have a near-perfect game on offense, and they need to pray for a few defensive stops.

Mason vs. Detroit MLK

Mason defeated Walled Lake Western, 22-17

Detroit MLK defeated River Rouge, 34-0

Mason played better fundamental football than Walled Lake Western. I really liked the talent on both teams and even thought Walled Lake Western was the more talented team. Hats off to Mason for simply playing a better game and looking like a much better football team. They'll go on to face King for the fourth straight year. [player_tooltip player_id='589851' first='Cason' last='Carswell'] needs to play lights-out for Mason to have a shot.

I expected this outcome from King. I got to see River Rouge in person last week, and thought they were a solid team but with a ton of holes. King is more talented, more complete, and more experienced. I expect them to win against Mason and face off against DeWitt in the State Championship.

State Championship Pick: DeWitt > Detroit MLK

Division 4

South Christian vs. Niles

South Christian defeated Whitehall, 28-21

Niles defeated Portland, 37-34

All of a sudden, after a bumpy regular season, South Chrisitan has caught fire. I firmly believe that South Christian's playoff experience is paying off. This is now two straight one-possession wins for the Sailors.

Look out for Niles! This is a team that wasn't really in the state championship conversation until very recently. They proved to be the best team in their league, and now, they just beat a really, really good Portland team.

I'll take South Christian because of their playoff experience, but I wouldn't be surprised if Niles won.

Goodrich vs. Harper Woods

Goodrich defeated Haslett, 42-13

Harper Woods defeated Lutheran North, 48-3

Both Goodrich and Harper Woods win easily.

This game is a coin flip for me. Harper Woods had a lot of bumps in the road this regular season, but they've looked stellar in the playoffs against lesser competition. Goodrich has had a tougher path to this point, so I give them a slight edge.

State Championship Pick: Goodrich > South Christian

Division 5

Frankenmuth vs. Grand Rapids Catholic Central

Frankenmuth defeated Gladwin, 35-0

GRCC defeated KZoo Hackett Prep, 21-14

A classic matchup between two historically exceptional programs. Frankenmuth looks as good as ever, while, in my opinion, Catholic Central has some obvious flaws. Give me Frankenmuth to advance to the State Championship.

Notre Dame Prep vs. Flat Rock

ND Prep defeated Armada, 45-19

Flat Rock defeated AA Gabriel Richard, 41-0

I don't know what to make of this game! Listen, I've seen ND Prep play, and they're still my State Championship Favorite. But Flat Rock... I don't know a whole lot about them, but they're averaging 46PPG in the postseason. Very interesting matchup.

State Championship Pick: ND Prep > Frankenmuth

Division 6

Boyne City vs. Lansing Catholic

Boyne City defeated Reed City, 34-21

Lansing Catholic defeated Newaygo, 49-36

Division 6 is where my knowledge falls off a cliff. Still, I know this is a very good matchup. Boyne City comes into this matchup with only two losses- both being against great teams in the first four weeks of the season. Lansing Catholic has three losses, but they've faced a more challenging schedule. Just a gut feeling, but give me Boyne City in this one.

Marine City vs. Lumen Christi

Marine City defeated DET Central, 52-26

Constatine vs. Lumen Christi

This'll be a great game! Marine City is always solid, and usually in the State Championship conversation. They've beat some good teams this postseason, including a great Warren Michigan Collegiate team.

Lumen needs no introduction. Dominant team. Countless State Championships. Considering their talent and coaching, headlined by KaDale Williams, I expect Lumen to advance to Ford Field for another year.

State Championship Pick: Lumen Christi > Boyne City

Division 7

North Muskegon vs. Millington

North Muskegon defeated Menominee, 23-0

Millington defeated Pewamo-Westphalia, 28-0

Two teams who just decisively beat state-championship favorites. This should be a phenomenal game!

Schoolcraft vs. Monroe St. Mary's

Schoolcraft defeated Hudson, 28-16

Monroe St. Mary's defeated Leslie, 55-18

Look out for Schoolcraft QB [player_tooltip player_id='1157442' first='Jack' last='DeVries']. Super underrated player who'll likely earn a lot more attention if his team advances to the State Championship. I also know that Monroe St. Mary's has a ton of talent. Should be a good game!

State Championship Pick: North Muskegon > Schoolcraft

Division 8

Beal City vs. Fowler

Beal City defeated Iron Mountain, 14-7

Fowler defeated Harbor Beach, 25-7

Fowler is the favorite here (in my eyes). Fowler is undefeated, and they've beaten some great teams, like Pewamo Westphalia. Beal City is no pushover- they've been to Ford Field before. Though, with a few losses, I think Beal City's run will come to an end next weekend.

Riverview Gabriel Richard vs. Decatur

Again, I don't have much grand insight for this one, but both teams have been playing amazing football through the postseason. I hope to see a good game!

Decatur defeated Reading, 41-0

Riverview Gabriel Richard defeated Detroit Loyola, 30-12

All 32 Regional Finals games have concluded! Now, we have 16 excellent semifinal games to look forward to. Here's a short preview of each of our 16 Semifinal matchups.
