Five Promsising Juniors in the SVL

For me, the offseason is always about finding diamonds in the rough. It's pretty easy to pinpoint the best couple dozen players in the state, as most already have countless D1 offers. Well, not everyone in the class of 2028 has hit their apex just yet. So many players are about to breakout during their junior season, and I can't wait to see them happen in real-time. Here are five prospects who could take a big step up next season.    Last season, Torrian served as a solid sub-varsity receiver. First and foremost, Torrian displays consistently good effort out on the field. The first highlight shows Torrian run a good post route, showcasing great concentration after the ball was tipped. Second, Torrian runs a efficent comeback, and his QB does a great job timing up the pass. All in all, Torrian is a solid JV route runner, but he needs to polish up the top of his route.   Additionally, I think Torrian's blocking is a major green flag. 2:55 on the tape shows a genuinely great block, driving his DB all the way to the sideline. Blocking as a receiver is extremely underrated, and I hope to see Torrian continue to polish that area of his game once he's up at Varsity.      Xaiden's upside is pretty phenomenal. I'm pleasantly surprised to see him rep at DE. 0:14 showcases great getoff, physicality, and a wide tackle radius. 0:30 is a really nice display of athletic ability, being able to quickly sidestep the slower OT and blasting the QB.   Assuming the measurables are legit, I could see Xaiden developing into a monster of a DE. I've seen it from a couple DEs with Xaiden's current size; one elite offseason in the weight room, and that size is suddenly an incredible asset. I see the speed traits, he just needs the power to earn college attention.      A JV recevier who was clearly a step ahead of the JV competition he faced last season.   Luke is already decently polished in a few key areas. 1:22 alone showcases a good release, double-move, and solid ball tracking deep downfield. 0:43 is another good release, and good footwork on the comeback route. Mainly, I'm impressed with Luke's athletic ability. He's a fluid athlete and is able to change direction on a dime. A little less wasted movement on his routes, and Luke could be a phenomenal route runner/possession receiver on Varsity. Upgrade the hands and open-field skills, he could be a super well-rounded Varsity player.      I really like Hunter's effort on this highlight tape.   Starting with 0:15, Hunter does a nice job sidestepping the OT, keeping his eyes in the backfield, and getting in on the defensive score. At 0:26, he does a great job keeping his eyes in the backfield, following the pulling guard, and playing a part in a sack. It's all about consistent effort and not taking plays off in this tape. If Hunter can spend some time getting faster and stronger, he could have a breakout junior season.      Sam did a good job as Davison's JV center last season. In a nutshell, he's a brick wall who is extremely tough to get past. Plus, he has a handful of highlights, especially at guard, showcasing promising agility. 0:56 is a solid example of agility and second-level blocking.   A good foundation for his sophomore season! I'm looking forward to seeing how Sam continues to improve heading into his junior season.
