In his first football season since the 7th grade, Moore has posted 39 catches for 833 yards and 11 TDs, good for the 5th most receiving yards in the state and tied for 8th in TDs. Not only has he been productive, his athleticism, which has helped him earn high-major basketball offers from the likes of Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Baylor most recently, has translated to the gridiron, and Moore is undoubtedly the top recruiting story out of Minnesota this season. The hometown Minnesota Gopher saw what we all had seen, which was that the 2026 standout was special, and offered him earlier this month, his first football offer. Wins over St. Louis Park, Apple Valley, Rochester John Marshall, Waconia, Chanhassen, and Austin. Lost to Chaska 7-6 and to Mankato West 28-7.   Honorable Mention: Moorhead, Bemidji, Minneapolis Washburn, Rochester John Marshall   Class 4A Biggest Surprise Team of the Regular Season: Providence Academy   3-7 in 2023, Providence Academy is 6-2 and ranked #6 in Class 4A going into the first round of sections. Wins over Byron, Chisago Lakes, Mound Westonka, Delano, SMB, and Kasson-Mantorville. The Byron and Mound Westonka wins are especially impressive. Only losses came to #9 Orono 24-13 and #1 Becker 13-9.   Class 3A Biggest Surprise Team of the Regular Season: Fergus Falls   2-7 in 2023, Fergus Falls is now 8-0 and ranked #6 in Class AAA. The Otters have particularly strong wins over Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 43-20, Detroit Lakes 35-21, and DGF 48-29.   Class 2A Biggest Surprise Team of the Regular Season: Rush City   1-8 in 2023, Rush City now sits at 8-0 and is ranked #9 in Class AA, highlighted by wins over International Falls, Moose Lake-Willow River, Braham, and Mesabi East.   Class A Biggest Surprise Team of the Regular Season: West Central Area   3-6 in 2023, West Central Area is now 7-2, with their only losses coming to ranked Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa and Upsala/Swanville.   Class 9Man Biggest Surprise Team of the Regular Season: Fosston   5-4 in 2023, Fosston now sits at 8-0 and ranked #7 in Class 9Man, with their best wins coming over Hillcrest Lutheran, Win-E-Mac, and Kittson County Central. Starting on a 6A, Big School varsity squad as a freshman is not an easy task, much less at quarterback. Not only that, turning around a previously three-year losing streak, beating out an already established two-year starter, and going 3-5 in your first regular season is about as hard as it gets, but freshman gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='1651164' first='Tre' last='Moore'] is making it look easy. Additionally, Moore went 92-151 (61%) for 1,259 yards and 14 TDs to only 5 INTs, and has added 59 rushes for 176 yards and a TD as well. This comes against some of Minnesota's premier Metro pass rushers coming after his butt, and given his basketball background and multi-sport athleticism, I'd say we have a budding superstar on our hands. The completion percentage, ability to win, and dynamic ability, as well as the raw confidence it takes to step into a 6A starting role as a 14-year-old, really have PrepRedzoneMN excited about Moore's future. Mack, who has shown fantastic production, explosive ability, route running nuance, and twitch, runs with the elite Howard Pulley EYBL team in the AAU circuit, and his basketball game translates well to the gridiron. No reported interest, graphics, or invites yet, but personnel from Minnesota & Northwestern have followed him on Twitter this season.   Also exciting, we have another big-time defensive prospect coming out of former Classic Lake Conference heavyweight Wayzata, keeping that rich tradition of high-level signees from the Trojans alive and well. Diane, who measured in at 6'3.5" and 227 pounds this past June at Wisconsin's prospect camp, where he ran a 4.85 pro agility and jumped 9'4 and 9'3 in the broad, also threw 50'02 and 50-6.5 in the shot put as a freshman, a very exciting feat for his age. The Iowa Hawkeyes just sent Diane a gameday invite yesterday, and Diane posted 15+ tackles, 5 TFLs, and 3 sacks in the regular season as a sophomore. You'll be hearing more about these two this offseason. Lundeen, who founded the Becker Bulldogs football team when he was 23, all the way back in 1970, is only the second-ever coach to surpass 400 wins in MSHSL history. An experienced, dynamic, and explosive two-way contributor who has run in the 4.5s (hand-timed) at multiple exposure points throughout his career, was an easy choice for Top Two-Way Player of the 2024 Regular Season. 3rd in receptions (54), third in receiving yards (922), tied for 12th with 10 TDs. Also second in interceptions with 8, one of which he returned for six, and has added 22 tackles and 7 PBUs. Also punted once for 24 yards and rushed twice for 22 yards. Hasn't received a college offer yet this season, which I find crazy! Also beat 6-1 Dawson-Boyd 54-0 in Week 8.   #1 Stewartville over #7 Pine Island 19-0. Stewartville could qualify as "Most Dominant Performance" for their entire season's worth of exploits. Stewartville has only given up 4 TDs, 3 through the air and one on the ground, as well as a stingy 2.1 yards per carry average. The Tigers haven't given up a single point in the 4th quarter this season, have outscored opponents 424-25 in 2024, and are only giving up 44.8 passing YPG and 35.9 rushing YPG.
