Hopkins holds a pair of talented siblings on their roster, with Jayden Moore Jayden Moore 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Hopkins | 2026 State MN as the #1 ranked receiver in Minnesota for this upcoming class, and his younger brother Tre ranked as the #1 overall player in Minnesota for the class of 2028. Jayden caught 44 passes for 924 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, averaging 21 yards per catch. Moore is easily the most well-rounded receiver in Minnesota, with an impressive combination of speed, agility, and physical play that’s allowed him to thrive as a route-runner and as a run-blocker. Moore puts relentless, yet seeming effortless work into each play, doing a great job at adjusting on the fly to get open, and he’s shifty after the run, with the ability to circle around defenders to reach the open field. A 3-star recruit, Moore already holds 6 major D1 offers, including from Minnesota, Baylor, and Kansas State, and his presence should continue to aid toward Hopkins’ growing edge in the conference heading into 2025.

Football #6/Basketball #2
Moore is a physical wide receiver who is built almost like a tall running back. He is a beast in the running game. He is stronger than most corners and can effectively eliminate one player in the running game. The junior is not just a blocker; Moore runs effective routes and has a nice catch range and solid hands. When he is in the open field, he has that extra gear that allows him to separate from defenders. On the hardwood, Moore helped his team to a 25-2 record and a spot in the section finals. He distributes and runs the offense well at the point. Moore can also get into the paint and knock down an outside jump shot. He nearly averaged a points/assists double-double on the season.

The biggest name on the Royals, Moore was a top basketball prospect who tried out football last season and saw tremendous results. He’s earned a handful of P4 offers, including an in-state one from the Gophers, and it’s looking like Moore is going to continue to be a massive problem during his senior year. He claims to have 4.3 speed, and while I haven’t seen that in person it’s not an outrageous claim once you watch his tape. He is exceptionally quick and constantly finds himself open. Moore’s ability to adjust to the way the play unfolds is top-notch, and he brings a rare physicality to the receiver position that is often sorely lacking. Expect big things from the Hopkins product in 2025.

– our PRzMN Freshman of the the Year – to come out for football, the high-major basketball offeree was the Royals’ sparkplug to their 2024 turnaround season that saw the former 6A giant snap their 29-game losing streak and string together three-straight 6A victories to inject some much-needed life and energy into that once-esteemed football program. In his first football season since the 7th grade, Moore has posted 39 catches for 833 yards and 11 TDs, good for the 5th most receiving yards in the state and tied for 8th in TDs. His production, splash play ability, and influence were hard to ignore, and a little past the midway point of the 2024 the hometown Minnesota Gophers and Head Coach PJ Fleck came calling, offering a P4, B1G scholarship to catapult Moore into the nation’s top multi-sport ranks.
Not a ton of available film, but Moore is easily able to take the top off the defense, tracks and plays the deep ball well, and can accelerate away from pursuers after the catch with ease. He naturally stacks DBs once he gets a step on them and shows off fantastic ball skills, as he climbs the ladder and high-points the football with noticeable control, grace, and explosiveness that you’d hope to see from a high-level hooper like Moore. Plus, he’s twitchy and sudden after the catch, with great burst and the top end speed to turn routine receptions into long TD runs. Elite-level athlete doing what elite athletes do.
