Cisneros is the veteran cover corner who stabilizes the back end. His experience shows in calm feet, patient eyes, and an understanding of route concepts. Comfortable in man or zone, he uses disciplined leverage to funnel routes to help, then competes at the catch point without grabbing. He mirrors releases with quiet feet and transitions smoothly from backpedal to drive on outbreaking routes. He gives coaches confidence to spin coverage and load the box, knowing he can hold up on an island versus WR2s and even travel to WR1 in key moments. He doesn’t see a ton of targets which speaks to the respect opposing coaches have for him in coverage. He’s been a key part in the Royals active three-game winning streak. This season’s achievements include a sustained period of good health, increased takeaway production (one interception), and consistent vocal communication within a nascent secondary.
A 2x team captain for the Royals, Cisneros is going to return for his senior season eager to pick up where he left off. His junior year was cut short due to injuries only allowing him to play in 4/9 games, but during that time he only allowed one completion, further proving that he should he a 2026 to keep an eye on. Cisneros possesses impressive speed, recovery, and pursuit abilities that are evident in his film early on. I was particularly impressed with his press-man film, where Cisneros is able to stifle potent get-offs from talented wideouts. With a full senior season, Cisneros is in a prime position to see his stock rise rapidly.
Cisneros plays well in both press and zone coverage. His closing speed stands out on film, as does his length. That combination allows him to close quickly in zone coverage and shadow a receiver in man coverage. His hips are smooth, allowing him to transition from a backpedal to a trail technique quickly. Cisneros supports the run well with solid open-field tackling and his speed to track plays down from the opposite side of the field.
