With plus-length, significant room to fill in, good body control, and solid quickness, Winkler was dynamic as a defender, with some tremendous reps in coverage against a loaded RB group that showed off deep speed, loose hips that he could flip with oily ease, technique, and a cool & calm mentality in pass coverage that you don’t often see in young LBs. You put some weight on this kid and get him some varsity reps and you have a very high ceiling as a three-down linebacker. Go Royals!
