Another four-sport (Football/Wrestling/Track/Rugby) athlete who made waves as an all-state rugby player, Woolever looks to provide a valuable veteran presence to the Royals secondary in 2025. He’s a hybrid OLB/S who can really make his presence felt in the box. He’s quick enough to keep up with high-level wideouts and also shows off some solid closing speed toward ball carriers. Woolever’s pursuit abilities and run-stopping particularly stood out to me on his tape. Expect Woolever to build on the positive success he saw as a junior during what should be an exciting senior season.

has been one of my favorite players to watch on the Royals’ defense. Alternating between both Safety positions, Woolever has showcased fluid skills in both of these roles. Woolever is quick, and in pass-coverage, he does well at reading the QB on where the ball is going and closing the gap of the target window. He also plays well in deep coverage, and it is not easy to go deep down the middle against him. Woolever also plays well against the run, anticipating the play direction, and tackles hard and clean. Woolever deserves props for handling both Safety roles well, and this versatility should come handy to receive much more scholarship options moving forward.
