The season is off and rolling! Week 1 is in the books and the standout athletes across Wisconsin didn't hesitate to dominate their first game of the season. Prep Redzone Wisconsin is here to break down the film of several of the best performances on offense and defense. First up will be the offensive performances. The athletes who lit up the scoreboard, piled up the yards, and changed the game with their touches. These athletes are proving to be game changers, and that they have the talent to play at the collegiate level. Let's get the tape rolling and see who had the most dominant offensive performances of Week 1!

Stats: 6 Receptions, 110 Yards, 2 TDs

Cal put up a big day in Monona Grove's 37-7 win over Janesville Parker. The 6'1" 160 lbs WR spent Thursday night taking the top off the Parker defense with his speed. On both TD receptions, Cal was able to stack his CB quickly, track the ball, secure the catch, and pull away in the open field. MG also targeted on a couple quick passes and let Cal make plays after the catch. It was a hot start for a senior WR that is sure to put up big numbers this fall. Check out the film from Week 1.

Stats: 133 Receiving Yards, 1 TD, 115 Rushing Yards, 1 TD

Another dominant Thursday performance was by Elkhorn's senior WR [player_tooltip player_id='1209433' first='Hudson' last='Krauklis']. His big day helped Elkhorn to a 41-20 victory over Delavan- Darien. That big day started right from the first snap when Hudson reeled in a beautiful over the shoulder pass for a 72 yard TD reception. A play that highlighted his straight line speed and ball tracking. Elkhorn used Hudson all over the field too, including as an RB where he again showed the speed to get the edge and also flashed some impressive short area agility on a carry between the tackles in his highlights. The big target was a deep threat all night long in the pass game, consistently finding himself running free and giving his QB easy targets. This was a great Week 1 for Hudson. Take a look at the film for yourselves.

Stats: 21 Carries, 240 Yards, 4 Receptions, 75 Yards, 5 Total TDs

One of the top players in Wisconsin this season put on an absolute show in Week 1! Racine Horlick needed every bit of it too to pull off the 42-37 victory over Union Grove. Carson is looking better than ever to start the season in a game that allowed him to highlight all of his well rounded game. Between the tackles we see the vision, agility, burst and the pure power and aggression he runs with to create yards after contact. His ability to maintain his balance through contact is special and some of the best you will find in WI this year. In the open field and when attacking the edge, Fletcher has that second gear to fly away from the rest of the field. Carson's hands are looking great this season too, easily plucking the ball out of the air and then instantly attacking the defense after the catch with that same aggressive, physical running style. I can't recommend checking out his film enough.

https://twitter.com/CarsonF_33/status/1827291571995185230

Stats: 3 Receptions, 91 Yards, 1 TD, 3 Carries, 179 Yards, 2 TDs

The big plays and efficiency from TE [player_tooltip player_id='1395144' first='Noah' last='Huebner'] in Week 1 is unbelievable! In just six touches the TE scored 3 TDs. More outrageous is the TE put up nearly 200 yards rushing and did it with only 3 carries! The big man made it look too easy on every highlight, proving that he is one of the top sleeper's at the TE position. When this kid got into the open field his long strides ate up ground and consistently widened the gap between him and the defense until he crossed the goal line. On the TE end arounds the big athlete showed vision with the ball in his hands and utilized his blockers well. Noah is kicking off a breakout senior season with an amazing performance. The size is there, there is a good base of athleticism, and he clearly has a knack for the big play. Keep a close eye on the senior TE.

https://twitter.com/noahhuebner24/status/1827348018799968297

Stats: 2 Passing TDs, 120 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs

QB [player_tooltip player_id='1222040' first='Vincent' last='Inga'] is back at the helm of the Germantown offense and is proving to be a playmaker instantly. the dual threat QB put together a great game on the ground and through the air while leading Germantown to a big 25-14 Week 1 win over Homestead. When the 6' 210 lbs QB decides he is running make no mistake. He is an RB at that point. He is going to try and beat you with speed. He will lower his shoulder and go through you if he has to. The quick twitch agility in short areas is there to make defenders miss. Inga isn't just trying to pick up free yards when he runs. He is trying to make the big play. With his frame, the junior athlete can handle a solid workload on the ground while handling passing duties. As a passer, Vincent made multiple throws showing off impressive accuracy and touch on his placement to protect the ball and give his man the best chance to go and get the ball. The junior QB has a lot of talent himself and around him to take Germantown far this season.

Stats: 11 Receptions, 192 Yards, 5 TDs

We didn't have Dominic on our radars heading into Week 1, but this is exactly how you put yourself there. Dominic went absolutely crazy in Week 1 to help SJCA to a 41-14 win. The WR was a nightmare matchup out wide because of his route running and quick twitch athleticism. Dominic is able to run sharp, sudden route breaks and have an explosive burst of acceleration out of those breaks to create separation. He demonstrated an effective double move that got the CB to bite hard. Rinaldi is clearly a big time playmaker with an elite nose for the endzone. The junior is well on his way to making a strong name for himself in WI HS football with a performance like that in Week 1.

https://twitter.com/DomRinaldi2026/status/1827365869351023042

Stats: 143 Rushing Yards, 3 TDs

This past offseason we talked about how exciting and explosive Payton was with his role as a sophomore that allowed him to have more limited touches. I couldn't wait to see what he did with a more standard workload, and in Week 1 we got our first look. Speed and vision are the name of the game as Pingel attacks the edges of the defense, putting stress on their contain defenders. He does a great job getting to the edge, and has the patience out there to find blocks, let them develop and then trust his acceleration to beat the defense from there. Between the tackles we see that vision as well, finding the seams of daylight and again showing the burst to hit the hole and get to more open field where he can make plays. Payton is a sparkplug for the Hudson offense and was key to their Week 1 win to start the season off right.

Stats: 21 Carries, 136 Yards, 1 TD, 4 Receptions, 142 Yards, 2 TDs

The senior RB/LB out of Grantsburg put on a show in Week 1 to help them beat Amery 31-19. Ian dominated the game with the ball in his hands. He did such a great job of seeing the field, setting up defenders, finding weak points to attack, and utilizing blocks at the line and downfield. Ian also showed that he was an effective downfield receiving threat. Burkman has an intriguing running style too. He has the agility to make people miss but overall the senior runs with that power and physicality needed to handle a big workload and set the tone that the defense is going to have to gang tackle him if they want to slow him down. The 6' 205 lbs athlete is built for a big workload and has proven he thrives with it. Don't sleep on this senior.

https://twitter.com/IanBurkman26/status/1827527764951326923

Stats: 14/22, 170 Yards, 1 TD, 17 Carries, 135 Yards, 2 TDs

We have talked about Brody a lot this summer following his great camp performances. So we were excited to see what he did as the QB1 for Winneconne this fall. It was a great start as he led them to a 34-21 victory over Little Chute while playing both ways. The offensive tape is as exciting as I had hoped for. He is a nightmare to try and contain in the pocket and when Brody gets loose on scrambles or designed runs you see that he is on a different level athletically. He is so quick to his top speed while also reading the field around him and making quick decisions on where to run. The speed is jumps off the tape as he flies through the front seven before the defense can get a hand on him. Schaffer is a game changing playmaker with the ball in his hands and is in store for a monster junior season.

Stats: 12/14, 108 Yards, 2 TDs, 13 Carries, 207 Yards, 2 TDs

Another electric athlete playing QB for his varsity team is [player_tooltip player_id='1251526' first='Jensen' last='Rice'] of Iola- Scandinavia. Jensen is a state champion track athlete and coming off a dominant camp season where he put up elite testing numbers. Now the season is underway and he is carrying that all into the season with a great Week 1 performance and win. As a passer, Jensen is one of those natural athletes that seem excel in most areas. One of those areas is being able to deliver accurate passes to his outside weapons. Where his future is at is what he does on the ground. Jensen has exceptional burst, short area agility, and instincts with the ball in his hands. He so quickly picks through traffic until he finds daylight then he hits his second gear and is gone. Having a playmaker like this at QB is such an advantage at the HS level. The dual threat and two way player is going to put up dominant numbers this fall.

Stats: 27 Carries, 170 Yards, 2 TDs, 4 Receptions, 60 Yards

Rothmeier ran his way to a great night and a team win vs Holmen in Week 1. The 5'9" 180 lbs back may be undersized for a workhorse back, but the senior is no stranger to a high usage rate. Paxton made a lot of plays in Week 1 that highlighted his elusiveness in a phone booth. You see him run into a crowd and somehow come out of the other side and then he is off to the races. Paxton's agility and burst give him that short area success and when he gets in the open field the senior is showing that he won't go down easy. His balance through contact and a surprisingly effective stiff arm show up in the highlights from Week 1 as he gained a good chunk of his 170 yards after some contact. Check out the quick highlights below!

https://twitter.com/PaxtonR02/status/1827459390733217981

Stats: 7 Receptions, 142 Yards, 2 TDs, 2 Pt. Logan has been able to change games with his speed out wide and in Week 1 that came in clutch once again. Becker was able to get behind the defense for a long score. He set up another score with a great example of speed, ball tracking, and concentration through contact on a deep shot. The ability to secure catches in traffic shined through on several of his 7 catches in this game. The junior WR is a mismatch out wide with his length and speed. Don't miss out on this kid. The senior WR put together a performance that shows how hard it is to matchup with a kid that has superior athleticism than a lot of the players around him. He easily won deep on a long TD. When they played off to prevent that, Jack would catch the underneath passes and then his elusive running and quickness to make the defenders that tried to corral him miss in space. Somerset also used him on routes across the field where DBs would lose him in traffic, giving him more than enough space to make plays after the catch. Krier and Donnelly are going to team up for a dominant senior season this fall. Check out Jack's highlights below.
