Here is a link to part one of the top performers from the tournament.

CAPISTRANO VALLEY

Capo Valley had a solid day going 3-3 and suffering narrow losses to Damien, Mater Dei and Murrieta Valley. Both quarterbacks [player_tooltip player_id='595827' first='Tommy' last='Acosta'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1197373' first='Talon' last='Spencer'] looked good in moments. Acosta threw a beautiful deep ball touchdown and led multiple scoring drives against Murrieta Valley which I watched closely.

Cire Jefferson was great at corner against Murrieta Valley and when he is on, he can be a shutdown corner in man coverage. His timing while deflecting deep balls was terrific. The other top performers for Capo Valley were no surprise, two-way guys Kaden Hunter, Reily Walker and Hudson Campbell. Coach Sean Curtis was high on sophomore tight end [player_tooltip player_id='1279271' first='Colin' last='Hooper'] who is 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds already.

NEWPORT HARBOR

Newport was one of the surprise teams on the day and played very well. Bode Stefano took most the reps at quarterback that I saw and he was very impressive. [player_tooltip player_id='1742014' first='Jake' last='Meer'] is still competing for the starting job and he looked solid in the few reps I saw him take.

Cade Fegel looked like the top receiver he is and Sammy Stremick will be a top two-way player this year at receivr and safety. Hudson Perez got good reviews from coach Matt Burns.

CHAPARRAL

Chaparral really impressed me on defense in the game I watched closely against Servite. Corbin Frutos had a big interception against Servite and was making plays all day. [player_tooltip player_id='1611225' first='Dane' last='Weber'] looked good in moments at quarterback and Chaparral has a group of talented sophomore skill players in [player_tooltip player_id='1611263' first='Eli' last='Woodard'], [player_tooltip player_id='1611298' first='Chase' last='Bonta'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1382571' first='Tycen' last='Johnson']. Johnson was a standout at the National Preps Showcase a month ago.

TUSTIN

Tustin played Mater Dei close in a game I watched closely. [player_tooltip player_id='282761' first='Michael' last='Tollefson'] has the ability to make all the throws and it showed on Saturday. This is a big year for him to show he can put it all together when the pads come on. Orange Lutheran transfer Jackson Perez drew praise from coach [player_tooltip player_id='1203247' first='Anthony' last=''] Lopez and so did his brother [player_tooltip player_id='409270' first='Jayden' last='Perez']. Jayden had 59 tackles for Orange Lutheran last season. [player_tooltip player_id='1197319' first='Rufai' last='Azeez'] also got compliments from Coach Lopez and [player_tooltip player_id='1197214' first='Taven' last='Epps'] is the first guy you notice when you watch Tustin.

SERVITE

Servite had a rough day on the scorecards but some players looked good when I watched. [player_tooltip player_id='406664' first='Leo' last='Hannan'] has a Division 1 frame and can make tough throws. [player_tooltip player_id='1183031' first='Luke' last='Sorensen'] is a big tight end and [player_tooltip player_id='1288773' first='Devan' last='Parker'] was always open. [player_tooltip player_id='1044406' first='Jordan' last='Robinson'] is a freshman to watch for Servite and he got a lot of reps at corner.

OAKS CHRISTIAN

The usual star players played well for Oaks Christian. [player_tooltip player_id='212217' first='Deshonne' last='Redeaux'] was making plays out of the backfield and [player_tooltip player_id='406657' first='Stevie' last='Amar'] was one of the most physically impressive players of the entire event. [player_tooltip player_id='283607' first='Davon' last='Benjamin'] was all over the field on defense. Axel Eason got most the reps at quarterback that I saw but [player_tooltip player_id='958785' first='Treyvone' last='Towns Jr.'] looked good when I saw him too.

Coach Charles Collins praised Matt Watts for his performance Saturday as well as sophomore cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='1611347' first='Bryan' last='Narcisse'].

WESTERN

Western had the fewest players of any team I saw at the event and had a lot of players going two ways. JJ Amezcua has size and was scoring most of the touchdowns for Western. He's an intriguing two-way player with no offers yet but some interest from schools. Senior Noah Giddens had a big day on both sides of the ball for the Pioneers as well.
