UTEP Rolls Through The Valley

UTEP made a splash here in AZ this past week, offering a wave of prospects throughout the state. Clearly they are taking notice and trying to start a pipeline here in AZ, and they're off to a hot start. Speedy, twitched up kid with a high ceiling as UTEP pulls the trigger quick.     [player_tooltip player_id='402797' first='Rico' last='Blassingame'], WR, Tolleson '26   One of the state's top WR lands this UTEP offer along with one of his teammates, as Blassingame's total bumps up to 16. I projected earlier this spring that Blassingame was about to blow up, and it's great to see it come to fruition.     [player_tooltip player_id='402854' first='Judah' last='Lancaster'], TE, Tolleson '27   One of the biggest names in the state and a top young prospect picks up yet another offer, with UTEP joining in on the dangerous pass catcher. I have Lancaster touted as a major P5 talent, but this gives the UTEP staff a great opportunity to build a genuine relationship with the kid early on in his recruiting process.     [player_tooltip player_id='591191' first='Jai' last='Jones'], WR, Chandler '27   Another young prospect that gets the trigger pulled early, as Jones lands a UTEP offer. Jones will be playing at Chandler after transferring over from Corona del Sol, and I think Jones will be a double digit offer kid relatively soon.     [player_tooltip player_id='704776' first='Greg' last='Toler'], WR, Highland '25   One of the fastest kid's in the state and a dangerous vertical threat grabs a UTEP offer. I think he is about to be a huge mismatch physically, as he sizes up with a big, long frame at 6'4" 240lbs and possesses good ball skills with a very large catch radius.     [player_tooltip player_id='954369' first='Cody' last='Wells'], DB, Notre Dame Prep '25   Wells is starting to get hot, picking up his 6th offer thus far. He's had a busy spring where he really started to turn heads, and should continue to do so throughout the summer and into his senior season.     [player_tooltip player_id='401165' first='Jalayne' last='Miller'], OL, Desert Edge '26   You can't offer a bunch of AZ kids without popping into Desert Edge, as the big guy up front lands his 5th offer coming from UTEP.     [player_tooltip player_id='549596' first='Zerek' last='Sidney'], WR, Desert Edge '27   The highly touted incoming sophomore who is on pace to be one of the highest recruited 2027's in the state lands his 6th offer from UTEP. We've seen Kansas come through Desert Edge and clean house, so now you have to keep an eye on UTEP as some competition as DEHS continues to produce those top prospects.     [player_tooltip player_id='739441' first='Zeth' last='Thues'], DB, Liberty '26   Thues picks up offer #9 and will enter his junior season with the defending open division state champs. Thues shocked the state when he announced he was transferring from Saguaro to Liberty, as he'll be another huge piece on one of the most physical, play making defenses in the state.     [player_tooltip player_id='992813' first='Paz' last='St John'], DL, Liberty '26   The Liberty big man is starting to see a significant rise in his stock, picking up third offer this month alone. He sizes up with a college ready frame at 6'3" 260lbs and possesses excellent play strength, and looks prone to have a breakout Jr. season.     [player_tooltip player_id='992763' first='Mason' last='Lewis'], ATH, Casteel '26   Lewis lands an offer from UTEP after picking up a Kansas State offer earlier this month. He'll be a kid to keep an eye on as he could blow up quick here as he enters his junior year.
