. He put up legit No. 1 receiver numbers against everybody, stacking a thousand-yard season with 14 touchdowns while pretty much every defense he faced knew exactly where the ball was going on money downs. The film matches the stat line: a long, springy target who can win over the top, climb the ladder on fades, and still be dangerous after the catch on quick game stuff. You see games where he takes over entire nights, ripping off huge yardage and turning routine screens into explosive plays with his ability to make people miss. He’s not a gadget guy living off schemed touches — his routes are clean, his pacing is mature, and he knows how to use his frame to shield defenders at the catch point. On a team that didn’t have the wins to go with his output, Blassingame still looked every bit like a playoff-caliber weapon.

Blassingame is a top tier WR prospect with a great skillset combining his size, athleticism, and ball skills. At 6’3” 180 lbs. he leverages his frame to create mismatches against DB’s in man coverage and on contested balls. He’s a long strider that can stretch the field vertically with speed and turn short receptions into long gains after the catch. Elite level catch radius that extends well outside his frame, he does a great job extending at the catch point and bringing in tough receptions in traffic. Uses excellent body control and athleticism to adjust to ball flight and attack the ball in the air. Love his ability to go through contact or over the top of defenders to play the ball, does a good job gathering and timing out his jump to attack it at the high point. He’s a plus route runner that can create separation at all three levels using good stems, making sharp cuts, and bursting out of his breaks. Made his commitment to Minnesota in March over 21 other D1 offers. Ranked inside the top five overall.

Love his ability to go through contact or over the top of defenders to play the ball, does a good job gathering and timing out his jump to attack it at the high point. Hard drive phase out off the LOS, he closes gaps quickly to force the DB to transition as he slips by coverage. Has always had national recruit ability but his recruitment was mainly focused on the west coast. Recent offers from Wisconsin, Purdue, Texas A&M, and Minnesota show that big time programs in the east are now taking notice.
