might not blow you away with measurables, but he more than makes up for it with the way he plays the position. As just a sophomore last fall, he stepped into a Desert Edge offense loaded with talent and still found a way to lead the team with 591 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games. That speaks to how reliable he is in every situation — he can go up strong in contested spots, use his legit top-end speed to win downfield, or settle into soft spots to give his QB an easy outlet. What really pops is how complete he already is: he comes back to the ball, plays with a physical edge, and runs everything at full speed. Desert Edge leaned on him in big moments, and he delivered with multiple double-digit catch games late in the season. Heading into 2025, now a junior, he’s clearly going to have a lot on his shoulders for this offense. With seniors graduating, his target share is only going up, and you can expect to see him featured on plays designed to let him create after the catch.

could’ve easily landed on either list — size or speed — because he brings both to the table. He’s not the biggest receiver on paper, but he plays like it, with strong, reliable hands and a physical edge that shows up in contested catches. What really stood out, though, was how fast he is. He’s got legit top-end speed and was a constant threat downfield, but he also made himself available in the short game, giving his QB a reliable outlet when things broke down. Sidney was everywhere for Desert Edge’s offense, doing all the little things right — coming back to the ball, finding soft spots, and always playing at full speed. That consistency helped him stand out to more than just fans; he really caught the attention of the coaches in attendance. That effort didn’t go unnoticed, as he recently earned one of just six ASU Golden Tickets handed out to top priority recruits. Bottom line: he picked a great night to have a great night.

Sidney has been a staple in the top of the 2027 rankings since they debuted after his freshman season. He’s a gifted athlete with plus route running ability and is a natural hands catcher of the football. His routes are sharp and precise with good hip mobility to work in and out of his breaks. Sets up his routes well with good use of stems and head fakes to force a DB to transition. Good variety and usage of different moves to release off against both press and off coverage. 12 offers including five this month and nine major D1 programs.
