Class of 2027 Recruiting Roundup April ’24

The '27 crew has gotten off to a great start on the trail, and has shown the potential to be strong at the top and deep. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1198816' first='Luke' last='Brewer'] snagged an Iowa State scholarship offer in October of his freshman season. Kansas State made the same move last week. He visited Iowa for a game last fall and again this spring. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1197438' first='Jaxx' last='DeJean'] found time to watch his older brother, Cooper DeJean, being selected by Philadelphia in this past weekend's NFL Draft while navigating a busy time. Alabama Birmingham offered a scholarship in February, and he visited Iowa in the fall and spring. Wisconsin and North Dakota have invited him to camps this summer. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Multi-sport standout [player_tooltip player_id='1197458' first='Landon' last='Blum'] is one of the better kept secrets in the state. He reported an Iowa State football offer last week, has been invited to summer camps at Illinois, Mississippi State, North Dakota State and Harvard, and is ranked No. 3 among '27 basketball players in the state at <a href="https://prephoops.com/iowa/rankings/2027-rankings/">Prep Hoops Iowa</a>. He <a href="https://x.com/landon_blum/status/1783505933215084874">cleared 6-2</a> in the high jump last week. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Iowa played host to [player_tooltip player_id='1198817' first='Carlos' last='Blount Jr']. for a junior day in February and for a spring practice earlier this month. He visited Iowa State in March, and has been invited to camp this summer with the Cyclones, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Miami (Ohio). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1204540' first='Jaxson' last='McIntire'] was invited to Iowa State and Iowa games in the fall. The Cyclones offered him a scholarship in November. [player_tooltip player_id='466364' first='Tate' last='Wallace'] has been building a bond with Wisconsin, camping with the Badgers last summer, visiting Madison for a game in the fall and returning in campus in March.
