We will move Brewer into our 2026 rankings in our update, arriving in the next week or so. He reclassified up a grade during this season and then committed to Iowa. You may have heard, the Hawkeyes have a rich history at his position. He’ll be joining a room with experience and depth, but his potential and college readiness could have him on the field early. A national recruit with offers from Georgia, Miami (FL) and just about everybody else that utilizes the tight end, Brewer looks like a receiver running routes and catching passes. He already brings physicality to the field as a blocker and when playing defensive end for Norwalk. His frame is such that it can add good weight and strength without the loss of speed or quickness. The Iowa prep ranks has had, and still has, really good tight end prospects. Brewer has a case to be the best prospect among them.

I finally had a chance to scout Brewer in person when Norwalk visited Iowa City High midway through the 2025 season. It was a good thing, as our No. 1 player in the 2027 Class recently reclassified to 2026. The move has intensified the recruitment of one of the country’s top tight ends, who had two Iowa assistants and a Miami (FL) coach at this game. Brewer showed off what makes him special as a receiver, catching seven balls for 70 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a matchup nightmare, too big for defensive backs and too fast for linebackers. All of that said, what impressed me the most about Brewer was his willingness to block and ability to execute in that discipline. He’s a physical presence already with a frame that can comfortably add mass without losing speed and agility. Whoever ends up with Brewer will be upgrading its tight end immediately. Brewer will play early in college.

already has the potential of becoming one of the most sought after TE names in the 2027 recruiting class in the nation as a whole. Brewer is listed as a 3 star recruit on 247 Sports and has already received 22 D1 offers, including from big schools such as Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, Notre Dame, and both Iowa and Iowa State. Brewer caught a team high 44 passes for 493 yards and 2 touchdowns for Norwalk last season. Brewer is an excellent run-blocker who proves to be a mismatch against his opponents due to his size and speed, as well as his ability to drive defenders back through the whistle with the mentality of an Offensive lineman. Brewer also is a reliable receiver who can stretch the field, attacking the seams, and shows strong hands catching through contact. Brewer absolutely lives up to the hype as the most coveted junior prospect in Iowa currently, and he should continue to make a big impact for Norwalk’s offense going forward.

reclaims the title of top overall 2027 prospect in the latest update and has continued to show why he is so coveted. The 4-star prospect has already gained quite the offer list from schools like Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Iowa State, Miami, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford, Toledo, and Wisconsin. At 6’5″ and 220 pounds, Luke possesses the prototypical frame for a tight end at the collegiate level with the athleticism and strength to match it. Brewer is able to use this size advantage to be moved across the formation to take advantage of mismatches. He’s very strong at the catch point and showed the ability to make contested catches in traffic. Brewer also showed that he can absorb contact to break off big gains after the catch. Physical player who flashes a mean streak when blocking and can clear out defenders to open up running lanes for his RBs. Solid production as a sophomore with 44 receptions, 493 yards, two receiving touchdowns, 21 tackles, seven TFLs, and four sacks. Elite prospect who will have many teams vying for his services at the next level.
