One of the most prolific receivers in recent memory to come out of Iowa, especially the 8-man ranks,

has been nothing but dominant for Woodbine the last three years.
With the most receiving touchdowns in all classes, the Penn State commit was flat-out unguardable at the 8-Man level, anywhere in, near, or around the endzone. An X-receiver at the next level, Blum could do anything he wanted all season long, whether it was takig a slant over the middle to the endzone, out-running the defense on a go-route or simply playing “go up and get it” ball. His long, bounding strides and strong hands made him a tough cover in all facets of being a pass-catcher, and his plans to play for the Nittany Lions have him set up for a bright future.
In total, he finished his junior campaign with 60 catches for 1,049 yards and the aforementioned 24 scores. Also playing a bit of defensive back, Blum totaled 11.5 tackles, a sack, three pass-breakups (PBUs) and two interceptions. If he holds his own defensively and maybe returns a few punts and kicks, he could be in the thick of the running for the award.

It’s quite a notion for a receiver from the 8-man league earn the #1 ranking spot at his position, but

has shined so spectacularly since entering the lineup in 2023 that he deservingly earns that title. Blum amassed over 1000 receiving yards for the first time last season, catching 60 passes for 1049 yards (17.5 YPC) and a state-high 24 TDs. A big-bodied freakish athlete from a small-school, Blum holds the speed, length, strength, physicality, and overall game sense that matches that of D1-caliber talents, and he has been absolutely unstoppable to cover in the league. Having garnered national attention for his performance, the 4-star prospect just recently committed to Penn State, and he’ll look to round off his high school career with a state championship after coming 2 points shy in the state title game in 2025.

came out firing on all cylinders on Thursday, showing off why he’s one of few Power 4 prospects to come out of 8-Man football in Iowa.
A tall, lanky, athletic receiver who can make plays in the open field, beat his man in one-on-one coverage. A specimen of a receiver at 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds with ball-skills that look college-ready, Blum grabbed eight catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns, proving to be one of the most dominant prospects in all of high school football.
