Throughout the month of February, Prep Redzone Oklahoma is updating our prospect rankings for each class. And for the state’s 2027 class, we’re debuting the first batch of rankings. On Monday, we released the 2027 Top 25 and throughout the week, we’ll be putting the spotlight on different players and position groups. In this post, we’re putting that spotlight on the trenches with the offensive and defensive linemen. These are some of the better prospects at their respective positions. And defensive line specifically is already looking like a deep class. Earlier this week, we covered Bixby defensive lineman Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny DL Bixby | 2027 State OK and Valliant defensive lineman Kyng Golston Kyng Golston 6'2" | DL Valliant | 2027 State OK in our Top Five Spotlight. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 prospect breakdowns!
From the very first game of the 2023 season, Booker T Washington defensive lineman Joseph Graves Joseph Graves 6’2″ | 285 lbs | DL Booker T Washington | 2027 State OK showed that he was going to be a problem for opponents. The Hornet big man would absolutely dominate early on in his freshman season and by the time October rolled around, he was on a lot of radars. Despite Booker T Washington struggling on the scoreboard, the future was clearly bright as Graves ended up being arguably the best defensive player on the team as just a freshman. And this is a Hornet team that brings back a lot of that talent that might have been going through growing pains last fall. Look for Graves to be one of the top defensive linemen in Tulsa for the next few years.

Similar to Graves, Owasso freshman DaWayne Jones DaWayne Jones 6’1″ | DL Owasso | 2027 State OK made a statement in the first game of the year that he was going to be a force to watch. Going up against Bixby and arguably one of the best offensive lines in the state, Jones had success in Owasso’s season opener. Despite the loss, Jones was one of the standouts for the Rams and he’s going to be a name to keep an eye on moving forward. One thing that we really like about Jones is his wingspan. Based on that, he looks like he could end up growing a little more between now and his senior season. The Rams bring back some big names on both sides of the line of scrimmage and Jones has earned his way on this breakdown.
We wrote about Lincoln Christian and their impressive 2026 and 2027 classes a few times during their run to the state championship last season. One of those 2027 standouts that earned some attention last fall was Rain Ragland Rain Ragland 6’1″ | DL Lincoln Christian | 2027 State OK along the defensive line. Ragland was outstanding and he’s the one prospect on this breakdown that we’ll be interested to see how he develops physically. If Ragland continues to grow, he’ll continue to be on the defensive line. If he doesn’t, we could see him as more of a linebacker prospect. Either way, he’s an absolute game-wrecker for opposing offensive lines. He practiced against one of the better offensive line units every day and it’s obvious that they made him better.
Coweta freshman Hunter Reavis Hunter Reavis 6’0″ | 230 lbs | OL Coweta | 2027 State OK is the only offensive lineman on this breakdown and he’s certainly earned his spot here. Reavis was the OL MVP from our PRZ-Next camp last spring as an eighth grader. He went into his freshman season looking to help the Tigers at the varsity level. Coweta has several players in this 2027 class that we’ll be keeping an eye on moving forward. We also benefitted from getting a chance to see Reavis in action last month at our Prep Redzone camp. Once again, he was one of the top offensive linemen in attendance and he’s just a freshman. As Reavis continues to grow, he’s going to be an intriguing prospect. He has a lot of the tools to be a top prospect at the position.

And we’re back to the defensive side of the ball. We told you that this position group was deep. Star Spencer freshman Cadriann Olds Cadriann Olds 6’1″ | 190 lbs | DL Star Spencer | 2027 State OK is our final prospect to watch along the trenches. He’s also the younger brother of Lehmantre, who’s a standout wide receiver in the 2025 class. So needless to say, there are some good genetics working in Cadriann’s favor. As a freshman, Olds was very productive and had a breakout season for the Bobcats. And similar to Jones at Owasso, Olds has a very long wingspan that makes him an intriguing prospect to watch from a growth standpoint. Olds has a high IQ already and when watching his film, he certainly didn’t look like a freshman running around out there.
