Throughout the month of February, Prep Redzone Oklahoma is updating our prospect rankings for each class. And for the state’s 2026 class, we’ve updated the rankings and expanded it to 100 prospects. On Monday, we released the 2026 Top 100 and throughout the week, we’ve been putting the spotlight on different players and position groups. In this post, we’re putting that spotlight on the top pass catchers in the state’s 2026 class from standout wide receivers to game-changing tight ends. Several of the top guys at these positions have already been covered. Norman North WR Mason James Mason James 5'11" | 155 lbs | WR Norman North | 2026 State OK was covered earlier this week in our Top Five Spotlight article. Booker T Washington WR Keynan Farley Keynan Farley 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Booker T Washington | 2026 State OK was covered in our Top Newcomers article. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more prospect breakdowns within the 2026 class. And check back each Monday this month for another class update!
This is a theme when it comes to Lawton MacArthur’s 2026 class but the Highlanders have some dudes in that group. Wide receiver Joshua Rushing Joshua Rushing 6’3″ | 195 lbs | WR Lawton MacArthur | 2026 State OK might be the best of the bunch but there’s still a lot of football to be played. But Rushing is certainly one of the top wide receiver prospects in the state’s 2026 class as a whole when you look at what he’s able to do on the field. He’s a major threat down the field and with his size, he has an advantage against just about every defensive back he comes across. Needless to say, Rushing is an absolute playmaker and as he continues to polish his game, he’s only going to get better.
Bixby sophomore Cord Nolan Cord Nolan 6’1″ | 185 lbs | TE Bixby | 2026 State OK could end up being Bixby’s next high-profile prospect and it’s certainly trending in that direction. Nolan first had his breakout moment as a freshman linebacker, making plays on the varsity level. As a sophomore, Nolan became one of Bixby’s leading receivers and was outstanding in the state championship game. Nolan is a big, physical presence on the Bixby offense and while he still has the ability to play defense, he could be more valuable at tight end. So for now, we’re focusing on Nolan as a tight end prospect. His recruitment has started gaining momentum and we’re fired up to see what he does in 2024.
Highlights
Hugo wide receiver Quincy Shelton Quincy Shelton 6’0″ | WR Hugo | 2026 State OK has been on our radar since his freshman season. If you’ve followed our content for the last few years, this isn’t breaking news that Shelton is one of the better two-sport athletes in Oklahoma’s 2026 class. He’s also highly regarded on the basketball court but we love what he can do on the gridiron. Shelton is continuing to get better and better every time we see him in person or on film. He’s twitchy, he’s long and he has some of the better hands in the state. Now, Shelton might be flying under the radar compared to some of the other top guys at this position but that won’t last for long.
Mustang wide receiver Jaden Johnson Jaden Johnson 6’1″ | WR Mustang | 2026 State OK became a breakout star for the Broncos last season. The younger brother of former Mustang All American Jacobe, Jaden is looking to make a name for himself and become one of the top prospects in his class. It looks like he’s on his way to that because the dynamic sophomore closed the 2023 season with arguably more momentum than any other wide receiver in the state. In the second half of the season, Johnson was absolutely dominant and put up some monster numbers each week. Heading into his junior season, Johnson could really take the next step and become an elite player.
Idabel has some serious talent returning in 2024 and that’s a big reason why the Warriors are going to be one of the favorites in their class this fall. Sophomore standout Mackylan Dixon Mackylan Dixon 5’10” | WR Idabel | 2026 State OK is one of the more underrated playmakers on this team and he has the potential to be a game changer with the ball in his hands after the catch. Dixon is a speedster in the open field and he is incredibly slippery. When you look at the depth of playmakers that Idabel has on their offensive side of the ball, Dixon is one of them and it will be interesting to see how creative they get with trying to get him more opportunities to make plays.
