take the field this season. He had a really strong offseason at various 7v7 tournaments and camps and is a 2026 prospect on the rise. But he’s also transitioning to a new position this season. He’s been an overall athlete, moving around to a few different spots but this fall, he’ll be taking over the quarterback position for the Warriors. And with Dixon running the offense, Idabel is going to be incredibly potent because he’s a player that can take it the distance on every single snap. It will be fun to see how that transition plays out but when it comes to Dixon as a prospect, his ceiling continues to get higher.

Idabel has some serious talent returning in 2024 and that’s a big reason why the Warriors are going to be one of the favorites in their class this fall. Sophomore standout

is one of the more underrated playmakers on this team and he has the potential to be a game changer with the ball in his hands after the catch. Dixon is a speedster in the open field and he is incredibly slippery. When you look at the depth of playmakers that Idabel has on their offensive side of the ball, Dixon is one of them and it will be interesting to see how creative they get with trying to get him more opportunities to make plays.

under the wide receiver umbrella. Not only was he making play after play on offense but you sprinkle in a couple pick sixes from the cornerback position and solid production as a return player and you have a very impactful and versatile player. Idabel is not lacking in that department as they have several 2025 and 2026 prospects you need to know about moving forward. For Dixon in particular, the ceiling is incredibly high for him and he’s continuing his momentum from a strong 7v7 season. Dixon and Idabel have our full attention as we get closer to the playoffs.

was one of the more productive freshmen in the state last year and definitely when you just talk about Class 2A. Dixon would finish with nearly 450 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. He also finished with just over 400 yards and five touchdowns receiving. Dixon put up some pretty strong numbers for a freshman and he’s going to look for more this fall. Dixon gave the Warriors another weapon on offense that would provide versatility and gave the Warriors a threat in multiple areas of the offense. While their star running back dealt with nagging injuries, Dixon was one of the players that stepped up and produced at a high level. We think that he’s a 2026 prospect on the rise in a major way.

. We wrote about Dixon back in January during our last update and how when we watched Dixon in person last fall as a freshman, the playmaking ability was clearly there. Dixon is a chunk play waiting to happen every time he gets the ball in his hands. Whether he’s lined up at wide receiver, put in motion or whatever else Idabel asks of him, Dixon has the ability to turn a small simple play into a big one. He had a good offseason while playing on the 7v7 circuit with C4 and was surrounded by other southern Oklahoma playmakers. As we’ve mentioned a few times this offseason and really since the end of last year, Idabel is absolutely loaded. The majority of their players are back and we think that they have the chance to be special this fall.

was the only prospect on this list that we were fortunate enough to see live on a Friday night. Dixon showed out as his Warrior team went on the road and knocked Beggs out of the Class 2A playoffs. Dixon was a problem to defend as he was consistently turning small plays into big plays. Everything we saw in person matched up with the film on Dixon. He’s an absolute playmaker with the ball in his hands. His tape isn’t full of 50+ yard touchdowns but he has chunk play after chunk play from a variety of spots on the field. Whether he’s lined up in the backfield or as a wide receiver, Dixon was a big part of the Idabel offense in 2022. And him returning, along with several other young playmakers is a big reason why we like Idabel to be one of the top Class 2A teams in 2023.

Go ahead and mark down Idabel as a team to watch in Class 2A this season and over the next few years. They have several gamechangers on the offensive side of the ball in the 2025 and 2026 classes. For the 2026 class, their breakout star has been slot receiver

, among others. Dixon is an outstanding slot receiver who has torched opposing defenses with speed. He does a great job of taking the top off a defense and burn opponents on the deep ball. It will be interesting to see how Idabel continues to use Dixon moving forward. His speed and quickness is going to be tough to stop for opponents. As for this season, Idabel has bounced back from a 1-2 start by winning their last three games and they look to contend within their district. A week ten showdown with Eufaula will more than likely decide the district championship.
