A year ago at this time, the defensive line position in the state’s 2026 class wasn’t very deep. It’s getting deeper with no signs of slowing down. The two highest ranked newcomers to the latest ranking update are both on the defensive line. Southmoore’s Nakwaine Carter Nakwaine Carter 6’3″ | 255 lbs | DL Southmore | 2026 State OK emerged just in the last month as a prospect that is on the radar of not only D1 schools but at the P5 level. And it’s not hard to figure out why. Carter has the prototypical size and he’s been coached up by former OSU defensive lineman Christian Littlehead, who is without a doubt one of the best DL trainers in the state.

The last time we saw running back Lemar Davis Lemar Davis 5’8″ | 165 lbs | RB Deer Creek | 2026 State OK in person, he was running away with the RB MVP award at our camp in January. Davis had a breakout sophomore season with Millwood and during the last month, he’s moved to Deer Creek and will be joining the Antlers this fall. That’s a move that we’re intrigued by because Davis is certainly one of those running backs that can change the game on a single play. And he’ll be joining a Deer Creek offense that could be potentially the best in 6A-2 this fall. Davis is incredibly shifty in space, has good hands and will be an impact player for the Antlers.
Highlights
Cascia Hall moved to a pass-first offense in 2023 and sophomore quarterback Barrett Mullen Barrett Mullen 6’1″ | 170 lbs | QB Cascia Hall | 2026 State OK absolutely tore it up. Mullen put up monster numbers and emerged as one of the more accurate, but productive quarterbacks in the Tulsa area last season. Because of that, Mullen joined the rankings on this update and debuted rather high and this is a quarterback group that is incredibly intriguing to watch moving forward. There is a lot of potential with this group and Mullen is definitely one of the quarterbacks to watch. We’re looking forward to seeing him in action, in person this spring and summer.
Booker T Washington wide receiver Keynan Farley Keynan Farley 6’1″ | 170 lbs | WR Booker T Washington | 2026 State OK debuts in this latest ranking update as the #5 wide receiver and he might be the most intriguing of that group. Physically, Farley checks a lot of the boxes. We got a chance to see Farley recently in person at a 7v7 tournament. And while you can’t judge too much off 7v7 tournaments, Farley was an absolute monster in the red zone as a big target that had legit ball skills. The Hornets had a season to forget in 2023 but with Farley and a wealth of talent in the 2026 and 2027 classes coming back, look out for them to make some noise in Class 5A.
Not only did Muskogee sophomore linebacker Coda Barnoski Coda Barnoski LB Muskogee | 2026 State OK earn his way into the rankings on this last update but he’s debuting in the top five for his position. Barnoski had a very productive sophomore campaign and it’s going to be interesting to watch him develop over the next several seasons. Especially looking at Muskogee this fall where they lose some experienced talent from that defense. All of a sudden, Barnoski will go from a breakout player to the veteran on this defense. We know the production is there. It will be fun to watch him become more of a leader of this Rougher defense.
