Jack Rich
Jack Rich
Frankenmuth really seemed to go as Jack Rich went this season. He really impressed me with his leadership, and his very vast skillset. He can run when he is asked to and has some breakaway speed. He has a big arm, and can hit short and intermediate routes, and can get a ton of air on the long ball. He seemed to make the right play and didn’t really force anything. He deserves a ton of recognition as he has put on a fantastic season.
Max is an extremely talented athlete. He gets north and south in a hurry and doesn’t dance and waste time. Once he gets to the next level, he makes one cut and makes a guy miss and can break away quickly. I was really impressed defensively as well as he is a sure tackler and is always in the right spot. He’s a leader on his team and I really think any college would be lucky to get this kid in their building. He raises the stakes for himself every time I see him and always lives up to the hype!

Maddox was really the player of the game when I watched them in week 1. He hauled in catch after catch, including a whopping 4 touchdowns! He’s physically dominant and can go up and get it over his defender, and he has great footwork and runs super clean routes. He’s gotten some D3 attention, but I really don’t think it’s enough. This dude is a game changer that changes the math for the defense. Hopefully he continues to rack up the offers he deserves.

CMU commit Victor Earl Victor Earl 6’2″ | 195 lbs | LB Romeo | 2024 State MI was a menace all game long defensively. He has no hesitation, flies to the ball and trusts what he reads. I love the ability to shed blocks he possesses, and showed a ton of moves to get past his blocker to make the play. You could absolutely see his D1 talent on full display. He was head and shoulders above everyone else as far as natural ability goes. I am super excited to see him play at the next level, as I think he could end up great.

Still one of the most impressive performances I have seen all season, Drew put on a clinic on how to defend as the smaller player. Drew completely shut down 2 P5 commits en route to a huge win for Northville. He has really transformed himself to a legitimate DB prospect for the next level, with great closing speed, a high football IQ, and an ability to maintain good leverage at all times. Any college looking for a special player for their secondary needs to put on his film.

Desman was clearly one of the best athletes I’ve seen all season. He definitely did not have his best performance statistically, but when he got the ball in his hands on offense he was electric, and defensively he is a ball hawk. He’s a potential P5 star, and is as athletically gifted as they come. He works hard and shows great leadership abilities. I’m pumped to see where he lands, and how productive he can be because I think it could be pretty high.
Still one of the most impressive games I have seen offensively all season long. 400 yards, 5 touchdowns, and getting it done on the ground, Conn did it all against Standish Sterling. I love his ability to throw it from any arm slot, and the way he moves in the pocket. At times he escapes the pocket a bit prematurely, but overall it doesn’t hurt him due to his impressive throws on the run. Jackson is a talented kid who stuck out above all with his command of the game all night long.
Highlights
Jacob was the MVP of the night when I watched him play. He’s a legitimate threat to take it to the house on any carry, and he has a variety of moves to make him extremely dangerous no matter what. He can run between the tackles with ease, but has the speed to get the edge outside. He is finally starting to get some college attention as he has recently taken some visits and received an offer from Lawrence Tech. He puts in work in the offseason and it is paying off! Looking forward to seeing what’s next for Jacob.

Scotty had himself a fantastic game in a blowout W in week 3. He avoided pressure in the pocket, was able to deliver consistent balls downfield. When he did need to run, he was elusive and ran hard. He kept the flow of the offense going, never let it get stagnant, and made big throws all night long. He made his receivers around him better and showed to be a great leader for his squad, which impressed me a ton.

Xavier Young
Xavier Young
Xavier was one of the best athletes on the field when I saw him play. He ran quick and clean routes, always found a way to create separation between him and his defender, and showed off some incredible hops. EGR had a formidable secondary, but he was still able to turn on the jets and get behind them on a couple occasions. I really liked what I saw from him, and am excited to see him continue to evolve.
Ryan Louch
Ryan Louch
Ryan was all over the field. Offensively he was running smooth routes and making some athletic catches in traffic, finding the end zone, and was able to rack up some YAC. Defensively he snagged an interception, and was in on a ton of stops. He was even getting it done on special teams with a couple huge returns that set his offense up nicely to go to work with a short field. It’s looking more and more like he is trending towards some college attention, and it’s absolutely warranted.
Jhace Massey
Jhace Massey
Jhace had one of the most gritty and gutsy performances of the season. He was playing well at receiver all night long, until his starting and backup QBs went down, and he had to fill the role. He put on an electrifying performance, throwing for 2 touchdowns, and running in 3. He was the best athlete on the field, and he let everyone know it! He is a can’t miss Saturday player, and I am hoping he gets some opportunities.
Mason Roth
Mason Roth
Mason put himself on the map in my eyes when I watched him against Grass Lake. A 1 cut and get up field type of kid, I really loved his style, and how hard he runs. He keeps his shoulders square and low as he bounced off tacklers and fell forward for extra yardage. He absolutely has at least D3 capability, and I think he could be a real diamond in the rough for a team looking for a good RB.
Brayden is a solid 6’4, with a big arm and great timing on his intermediate throws to fit the ball in some tight windows. I think he’s a guy that could be developed into a starter at the D3/NAIA level. The physical tools are there, and he showed me that he is coachable and absorbs coaching quickly, and applies it immediately. He is a bit raw, but there is some incredible potential there for someone willing to take a chance on him.
Corunna has had an unbelievable season, and nobody has been bigger for them than Wyatt. He has a huge arm, stands tall in the pocket, and delivers extremely accurate balls. Whether it’s a short route or a deep ball, he delivers strikes. He’s also very mobile and runs hard to get all the yardage he can. SVSU is getting a good one with this guy.

Wil Smith
Wil Smith
Wil showed a ton of promise as a solid DB when I watched him against Frankenmuth. He was sticking with his receivers quite well, and when the weather got bad and the rain was coming down, he was coming up and making big hits in the run game and was chasing down plays from the back side. He stuck out as one of the most athletic players on the field, and I hope he can catch on to a collegiate roster.
Kellen was all around the best player on the field when they played South Christian. Defensively he had an interception, and was stuck to his receiver all night long. I was extremely impressed with how well he played defensively, but obviously offensively is where he truly shined. He was unstoppable all night long, gaining a first down nearly every carry it seemed. When they needed a 4 minute drive to put the game on ice, they went to him and he drove it all the way down to the goal line where they knelt it out. He’s the best running back I watched all season by a long shot.
Highlights
Jake was one of the most highly anticipated returners in West Michigan this season. He lived up to the hype when I saw him against GRCC. Even though it was raining hard, he was still burning DBs and making nice catches. He runs a variety of routes and makes the DBs cover the entire field. I think he could be an extremely tough guy to cover at the next level.

Hunter is a big hitter. He makes quick reads and flies to the ball. He does do a good job of breaking down and doesn’t over pursue, but he still gets to his read quickly. Most of the hits he was delivering in week 9 could be heard and felt just watching. I love how physical and aggressive he is, and I look forward to seeing play again I hope!

Vaughn Veltman
Vaughn Veltman
The ability for Tri County to throw the ball was mainly based on Veltman and his ability to find green grass and get open. He showed a great ability to get separation, and when the ball came his way he watched it in and then turned up field. For a Sophomore, I was extremely impressed with his clear football IQ. I look forward to seeing his development over the next couple of years, as he could become a consistent weapon going forward.
