Kellen is an absolutely electric back who by all accounts is a student of the game. Whenever the team needed to put the game away he was a reliable source of yardage to pick up first down after first down. He has great balance, and doesn’t go down on first contact. He’s a natural runner who has a low center of gravity and a great burst of speed. He has gone to town in the weight room and it has shown up on the field in a big way! I’m very excited to see what he can do at Grand Valley because I think he has the potential to be one of the best backs in the GLIAC in a hurry.

Kellen was all around the best player on the field when they played South Christian. Defensively he had an interception, and was stuck to his receiver all night long. I was extremely impressed with how well he played defensively, but obviously offensively is where he truly shined. He was unstoppable all night long, gaining a first down nearly every carry it seemed. When they needed a 4 minute drive to put the game on ice, they went to him and he drove it all the way down to the goal line where they knelt it out. He’s the best running back I watched all season by a long shot.
