Young displayed good bend and athleticism. He has active hands and shows the ability to dip and bend to shoot the gap. Young just needs to continue to add good weight and get stronger. It will help his ability to string together his moves and anchor in the run game versus bigger and stronger offensive linemen.

There are many similarities between Malachi’s tape and Dylan’s tape (above).
As a DE/DT, Malachi sports impressive burst and bend. He’s one of the better pass rushers in West Michigan, as he does an excellent job of keeping his hands moving through his rush. Malachi can club, dip & rip, or even bull rush to earn his way into the opposing backfield. Defending against the run, Malachi is disciplined, takes on blocks with a ton of physicality, and has a wide tackle radius. Considering Malachi’s current height, I’d imagine his college upside will probably be at DT. Malachi is absolutely worthy of G5 looks this offseason.
