Maddox had a fantastic game when I saw him week 1. He wound up going for 3 TDs en route to a huge win over Romeo. From what I saw, he was really special at getting vertical and stretching the defense. He does a really nice job of getting separation and securing the catch, then he gets upfield for some YAC. Contested catches aren’t too much of an issue has he was good at getting good position and going up to grab it. Whether it was running up the seam from the slot or running fades from the outside, Maddox is a rounded athlete who can stress a defense a ton.

Maddox was really the player of the game when I watched them in week 1. He hauled in catch after catch, including a whopping 4 touchdowns! He’s physically dominant and can go up and get it over his defender, and he has great footwork and runs super clean routes. He’s gotten some D3 attention, but I really don’t think it’s enough. This dude is a game changer that changes the math for the defense. Hopefully he continues to rack up the offers he deserves.
