Hunter is a human missile. I have been infatuated with his game for awhile now. He is a strong and aggressive LB who loves to stuff the run. He takes great pursuit angles and is able to easily shed blocks. Hunter trusts his eyes and instincts to make the play before it really ever gets going. I have seen him in person and his raw power and physicality legitimately wears on his opponents. His highlights show him being aggressive and bringing major power play after play. I am really looking forward to where he ends up playing at the next level!

is a sleeper linebacker. From Belding, Hunter earned all-state honors, dominating the run-heavy OK-Silver. Hutner is a dense 5’10 225 and a brick wall for any opposing running back. He does a good job stopping the run between the tackles and almost never gets driven backward for extra yards. If he goes unblocked, he’s making the tackle. When he does get blocked, he’s able to overpower most. On outside runs, Hunter is faster than I would have thought, considering his size, if Hunter can continue to become more athletic with some competition in the pass game, he could earn some offers late in the offseason.

This kid delivers some of the most jarring hits I have seen from a high school player. He has an incredible amount of physicality and aggression that is very rare. He’s an elite competitor with a great passion for the game and getting better. He reads plays quickly, is decisive when he takes off and comes with bad intentions. In week 9 I watched him completely take over in the 2nd half and you heard the hit every time. I really think some D2 teams need to get after this kid because he would absolutely make a defense better.

Hunter is a big hitter. He makes quick reads and flies to the ball. He does do a good job of breaking down and doesn’t over pursue, but he still gets to his read quickly. Most of the hits he was delivering in week 9 could be heard and felt just watching. I love how physical and aggressive he is, and I look forward to seeing play again I hope!

Hunter is a guy I am a huge believer in, and may be one of the most underrated players on the west side of the state. He shoots out of the gates with a huge burst of speed, is impossible to block, and delivers huge hits. The pursuit is unmatched, and he is a TFL machine. His football IQ is through the roof, as he is able to diagnose the play quickly and is in position before anyone else knows what is going on. He led a very impressive defensive unit for Belding last season as a sophomore, and he is poised to take another step up. Colleges need to get their eyes on this guy, as I think if he got in a college weight room, he could become a great hidden gem pickup.
