David Parsons David Parsons 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Parkersburg | 2024 State WV – Parkersburg ’24 QB
Parkersburg senior quarterback David Parsons David Parsons 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Parkersburg | 2024 State WV had a night to remember in many ways as the Big Reds defeated their bitter rival and previously unbeaten Parkersburg South. Parsons set a new school record for total yards of offense with 496 yards which surpassed Bryson Singer’s previous record of 436 yards set in 2020. Parsons was 18 of 25 for 410 yards and 5 touchdowns and still has yet to throw an interception through the first four weeks of the season The senior gunslinger also did damage with his legs in the game rushing 12 times for 86 yards and another touchdown bringing his total to six on the night.
Jalyn Abercrombie Jalyn Abercrombie 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Spring Valley | 2025 State WV – Spring Valley ’25 WR
Jalyn Abercrombie Jalyn Abercrombie 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Spring Valley | 2025 State WV makes his season debut on our weekly standouts with a big night on the ground in a 48-35 loss to Hurricane. Abercrombie is in our rankings as a receiver but the Timberwolves used him as a running back this game to get their best athlete the ball more often and it sure paid off for them. The junior scored three touchdowns in two different ways as he rushed for 172 yards and two scores and also added a 96-yard kickoff return touchdown. His big play capabilities were on full display against a loaded Hurricane squad and Abercrombie earned his first spot in our weekly standouts because of it.
Gage Wright Gage Wright 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB Parkersburg South | 2024 State WV – Parkersburg South ’24 RB/LB
Gage Wright Gage Wright 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB Parkersburg South | 2024 State WV is 4/4 on our weekly standouts and it’s starting to become deja vu with him this season after another huge game against Parkersburg. This week he “only” scored four touchdowns after posting six touchdown performances in previous weeks. Wright rushed for 343 yards and three touchdowns and also caught a 15-yard touchdown pass to bring his total to four on the night. The two-way star added 8 tackles on defense as well on his way to yet another monster performance.
Noah Vellaithambi Noah Vellaithambi 5'11" | 205 lbs | ATH Hurricane | 2025 State WV – Hurricane ’25 ATH
2025 Hurricane QB/ATH Noah Vellaithambi Noah Vellaithambi 5'11" | 205 lbs | ATH Hurricane | 2025 State WV could’ve easily shut it down and pouted when they brought in a senior QB to take his starting quarterback spot but Vellaithambi did the exact opposite. His role on the team has grown each week as they figured out different ways and positions on where to play him. Well, I think the Hurricane coaches found the spot for him this season as the junior rushed 34 times for 274 yards and five touchdowns. Vellaithambi is a natural runner and an upper-level athlete who already holds D1 offers for the quarterback position and now gets to display his high level of athleticism at a new position.
Zach Rohrig Zach Rohrig 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Bridgeport | 2024 State WV – Bridgeport ’24 RB
Another regular on our weekly standouts is senior Bridgeport running back Zach Rohrig Zach Rohrig 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Bridgeport | 2024 State WV who had yet another big game in their Wing offense in a big 40-20 win over rival and previously undefeated Fairmont Senior. Rohrig eclipsed the 200-yard mark again this season rushing for 223 yards on 28 carries and a touchdown while adding an interception on defense. This is now back-to-back weeks of rushing for more than 200 yards and Rohrig is now at 802 yards through the first four weeks of the season with 9 rushing touchdowns.
Max Anderson Max Anderson 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Spring Mills | 2025 State WV – Spring Mills ’25 ATH
The Spring Mills Cardinals picked up a very big and important win over fellow EPAC foe Musselman this week and junior QB/ATH Max Anderson Max Anderson 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Spring Mills | 2025 State WV was a key reason why. Anderson threw for 118 yards and a touchdown while adding 74 more yards on the ground and two more touchdowns. He also made a huge impact on defense with two interceptions capping off a fantastic night for the 2025 prospect. Anderson showed why he’s currently ranked in the Top 30 in the 2025 class and our #1 ranked ATH.
Wayne Harris Wayne Harris 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Huntington | 2024 State WV – Huntington ’24 WR
Our Class AAA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Wayne Harris Wayne Harris 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Huntington | 2024 State WV of Huntington had a huge breakout game of the season on both sides of the ball in their 45-13 win over George Washington. Harris caught five passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns but his impact on defense is what really stood out. He had an incredible three interceptions against a D1 QB commit with one going for a 95-yard score. Harris also carried the ball once for 21 yards and even blocked an extra point capping off a phenomenal night for the senior Kent State commit.
Zah Jackson Zah Jackson 5'10" | 185 lbs | DB Huntington | 2025 State WV – Huntington ’25 RB/DB
Our second Huntington Highlander and #1 ranked player in the 2025 class that had a big performance in their win over George Washington is Zah Jackson Zah Jackson 5'10" | 185 lbs | DB Huntington | 2025 State WV . Jackson showed off his wheels in the running game with 141 yards rushing on 24 carries. He best translates as a defensive back at the next level with numerous P5 offers and was also a big reason as to why the opposing quarterback was held to a 4/18 for 27 yards and four interceptions performance.
Mykel Davis Mykel Davis 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Wheeling Park | 2024 State WV – Wheeling Park ’24 WR
The University Hawks simply couldn’t cover senior Wheeling Park receiver Mykel Davis Mykel Davis 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Wheeling Park | 2024 State WV in a 17-14 last-second loss for the Patriots. Davis did all that he could to bring his team a victory with a great night catching the ball. Davis caught five passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns and had the University head coach John Kelley admitting that they couldn’t cover Davis. Davis has been steadily improving his production through his first three games and now has 9 catches for 243 yards and four touchdowns in three games this season.
Devon Forshey Devon Forshey 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Parkersburg South | 2025 State WV – Parkersburg South ’25 WR
Junior Parkersburg South wide receiver Devon Forshey Devon Forshey 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Parkersburg South | 2025 State WV makes his debut in our weekly standouts with an impressive showing in a close 43-35 loss to rival Parkersburg. The Patriots put up 668 yards of total offense and Forshey accounted for 150 of those yards in the receiving game. He caught 5 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown which is a staggering 30 yards per catch. Forshey has stepped up big time for the Patriots this season after they graduated some very talented receivers from last year’s state runner-up team.
Dominick Collins Dominick Collins 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Princeton | 2024 State WV – Princeton ’24 WR
Senior Princeton receiver Dominick Collins Dominick Collins 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Princeton | 2024 State WV had about as efficient of a performance as you can have from the receiver position catching five passes in the game with four of them going for touchdowns. Collins totaled 185 yards on his five catches which is an incredible 37 yards per catch. The Tigers’ offense was firing on all cylinders in their 49-40 win over Pulaski (VA). Collins also blocked a key extra point before halftime to give Princeton a narrow 28-27 lead. He scored on touchdown passes of 60, 65, 40, and 12 yards in the game.
Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV – Princeton ’25 RB
Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV makes his second appearance of the season on our weekly standouts with another big night on the ground for the high-powered Princeton offense. The junior running back carried the ball 17 times for 154 yards and a touchdown while also adding a 5-yard touchdown catch. Lowe capped Princeton’s big win over Pulaski (VA) with a 49-yard touchdown run late in the 4th quarter to seal the win for the Tigers.

Sophomore quarterback Chance Barker Chance Barker 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Princeton | 2026 State WV has been a pleasant addition to the Princeton offense this season after they graduated star quarterback Grant Cochran from last year. Barker earns his second spot on our weekly standouts after a very impressive and efficient game against Pulaski (VA). The 2026 prospect was 11 of 12 for 260 yards and five touchdowns with four of them going to stud senior receiver Dominick Collins Dominick Collins 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Princeton | 2024 State WV . Barker will definitely be entering our 2026 rankings when they next update.
